Society only benefits from it's geniuses if those geniuses benefit from society.

The thing about CEOs being psychopaths comes from a fundamental misunderstanding — surveys have found that people in certain professions, CEOs, surgeons, etc. _score highly on certain measures associated with psychopaths, _ but they’re not necessarily psychopaths, because they have other traits to balance them out and allow them to be productive members of society. But there are certainly some who go over the line and become predatory on their fellow humans.

While there is certainly a risk from the anonymous online people….there’s also currently a risk from cancel culture, where depending on your position it can be very risky to say something that is unpopular….and we do need a way for thoughts to get out there that are unpopular sometimes….

The world isn’t perfect, there are risks/problems on both sides….but please consider that sometimes anonymity is also necessary and people who don’t feel that they can identify themselves shouldn’t necessarily be left out or diminished in a conversation

This resonates so much in terms of my previous 'boss'/aka School Dean, nearly 20 years working on his team (me personally generating $$$ for the School!) at a private Univ. Thankfully (!) I finally accepted another position - waited far too long, but now can advise our own college grads at home of what to look-out for with potential future employers.

some of the worst of humanity may come forward under anoynimity but at least it comes forward and can be out in the open and humanity can learn from it and judge the severity and volume of it in society. limiting anonymous accounts 1 per person and having them segregated or highlighted as anonymous is still a good idea
