Managing ADHD Distractibility - this is what I do

Honestly, I can pay attention to certain things to a near-pathological level.  But that only works if it's something I'm interested in.  So the more I cultivate this ADHD-friendly life, the more I try to reduce the circumstances where I have to force attention, and I've found that to be an enormous energy-saver.

It may never be 100%, but the intention helps me choose my commitments wisely.

fighting with my 78 yr old self about the excessive time I sit looking at this phone instead of doing life!! I used to disdain TV-watching and now look at me!

This is what I literally struggle with and curse everyday.

I like how one short put it. You cooking, say, soup on the stove. You go to the fridge 1 step beside you. Your brain glitches (I call it) and you "forget" you're cooking. You put the fridge item on the table and walk out the kitchen thinking "I'm supposed to be doing something?"

After watching for 10 seconds, I started to sing a song that's stuck in my head...😊
