So it is official, not only has DC been recognizing the Marvel Multiverse (presumably as one of the multiverses of the greater "Metaverse") as cannon for years, but now Marvel recognizes DC. Awesome.

I see Black Winter as a merging of Oblivion and Death (or basically just another guise Oblivion takes) - since Oblivion has so many confirmed guises I'm quite happy in my belief Black Winter is part of Oblivion at minimum (which shows that Oblivion is so beyond omega it's crazy).

To this day, one of my favorite story arcs, because I felt vindicated knowing Galactus was full of it with his "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" spiel to Thor about how the Black Winter was the ultimate evil. Turns out I was right. Galactus just wanted to eat planets to become strong enough to dump on his former boss's desk.

The only issue I have with this story is that there is a Galactus in every iteration of the multiverse. The black winter is just after 1 Galactus? And then there is Abraxus. Don't even get me started on that isht.

I actually doubt that he killed the Black Winter BECAUSE the Black Winter itself is a direct reference of being the DC entity... The Empty Hand(also being indirectly being Darkseid)
