I wanted to test an inexpensive grow light from Amazon in my hydroponic dining room. Would it work for me? Would it work for YOU? Would it really help grow my indoor garden? #growlight #hydroponics #indoorgardening

I just bought this light. I'm a novice to indoor growing, so it's nice to hear a review from someone that has experience.

Have used this lighting to start seedlings for my Garden Tower with great success. Be aware that if you have a power outage only lasting seconds, the light will go out totally and needs to be “rebooted”. If you leave your home for several days/weeks, it might be worth adding an inexpensive UPS (universal power source) to your system to prevent a light system failure. Keep making these great videos!

There are lots of foldable and mobile Sola panels that have a USB input, and this is why the USB hookup.

The timer on the light turns it on when the sun is going down and your lights will hive a few extra hours after sundown.

This is particularly useful in outdoor greenhouses where you can drape a few foldable Solara on the outside of the greenhouse.

I bought this light for my Philodendrons and Alocasias but I’m about to start seedlings for my summer veggie garden and I wasn’t sure if this would be enough light for them. This was SO helpful! I have been looking at so many videos about grow lights filled with specifications that I do not understand. Like you, I just want my plants to grow and the range of options is overwhelming. This light would be perfect for my needs. I have a few houseplants growing in my aquarium and as they grow they need more than just the aquarium light, so I can clamp this onto the shelf that holds the aquarium. Thanks!!!

Thank you! I've never used grow lights before. This one looks like the one I just bought from Walmart. I'm using it for my Aloe Vera plant, and hopefully for some herbs as well when I get them.

We live and travel around in our RV and grow a bunch of herbs and salad blends and have been looking for a good simple grow-light that doesn't need to be plugged into a household electrical outlet and could be run off a 12-volt USB strip or outlet .... this is wonderful and Thanks so much again..

To choose a grow light you need to know the DLI and max PPFD that your crop can handle min-max, when you choose a light you need to know the micro moles per watts, this gives you the PPFD of your lamp, so you know it's enough for your plant, and yiu know how much it will cost you to run it. The fact your lamp has some red in it tells me it's not a bad one

Thanks for the review. I have one of these that I'm using over a dracaena and it works fine, but was curious about how effective it was on plants that need more light. I'm curious to see if your plant flowers and fruits under these lights. Any flowers or pods yet on those peppers?

What does it plug into? I just bought this and it doesn’t come with directions and it doesn’t plug into a normal charging block.

I've got the same DWC tubs (4 of them) and 3 of the same light but the 4 light model instead of the 2 you have..love it!

They connect to a USB driver because direct plug in from the wall must be run into a transformer to turn AC into dc voltage to operate the light. If your light plugs into the wall outlet without one then there is one built into it called an led driver that swaps the voltage from AC to dc..

Those long round tube like grow lights that you see that are usually colored and dimmer, they all work great on plants but the problem is they don't last they start blinking and then you have to lower the intensity one of them will go out. No matter the brand. The ones with the more shorter rectangle lookong white lights pretty much last forever I have a bunch going on 5 years now, various brands. They also much better on the plants . You also don't want to use the ones with Clips because they get loose after a while. You want the ones with the screw in Vise clamps
