NOTE : This data isn't the popularity of a distro but how many times the distro's page is accessed a day on distrowatch

This is just "most clicked Distro pages clicked on Distrowatch", it doesn't accurately represent the actual use of each Distro.

Debian has been on the top 10 for 2 decades, wow. I switched to it a few months ago and I can see why people keep using it for years.

I begun using GNU/Linux back in 2010. After a lot of testing and distro hopping, I settled on openSUSE. I have been using openSUSE close to exclusively for seven years. I use LEAP by the way.
I love what the openSUSE devs have provided for me and highly recommend others try it too.

Of the other distros, I'll add that I also though that Debian and Slackware were very good, just not as good as openSUSE. That is obviously my personal opinion.

I remember when PCLinuxOS was just briefly in the number one spot. At the time, we all knew that was astroturfed and time proved we were right.

Is Pop!_OS by System76 really worth it for software development?

Void Linux is not so popular I see. I don't know why, it's very simple and efficient, and without systemd. I used to think Arch was the best. But it has systemd, so I don't use it anymore. (I know about Artix).
Void doesn't have systemd, it uses runit. It's rolling release. It's not a fork, but rather an original distro with its own package manager xbps.
My second favorite is Slackware, but it requires more time to maintain (install software and especially dependencies).

Nice to see Manjaro and Mint right at the top for the last few years as they should be but MX needs to go away and be replaced with Zorin.

Linux mint has multifold visitors than distrowatch. Rating Linux mint based on clicks on a website which has least visitors than LM makes no sense. 🙌
