2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S MANUAL vs 2010 Porsche 911 Carrera S // The $100K Divide

This is the new 2020 911 Carrera S, and today it meets its elder, the 2010 997 911 Carrera S which costs less and offers naturally aspirated thrills. Both have a flat-six engine, a manual gearbox, and take the shape of an icon. Equipped with turbos, the new one does 0-60 in 4.2 seconds with the manual, and 3.7 seconds with the PDK. So can the old one stack up? Is the new one worth the massive premium? James and Thomas jump behind the wheel of both to experience them and discuss them inside and out. Watch and enjoy!

Thanks to the legendary Muneesh for allowing us to use his 997 AND his wonderful 993.

And thanks to Porsche True North for putting us in touch!

Ontario's premier car storage facility! James and Thomas store their cars there in the winter in their heated, locked, and secure storage facility.

Reviewing high end cars and comparing them to their more financially accessible counterparts is a good way to go. You give us the best of both worlds, the cutting edge of today and the hidden treasures on the secondary market.
Everyone of those cars was amazing, and you showed appreciation for them all.

Well done.

Daily drive a 997.1 and it never fails to put a smile on my face. I recommend every driving enthusiast try a 911 at least once.

The intro alone is worth a million subs

That $60k S is now sitting at $75-80k a year later.

The cinematography after the intro isn't less than that of a show with a multi million dollar budget, great job guys 👏. You guys are under rated even at 800k subs.

"When it came out... it was the PDK... and it was that little nub." *Microsoft error sound*

It's shit like this that makes me love you guys just that much more.

The 997.2 is my favorite generation of the 911.

The 997.2 is the stuff of legend. It still retains the visceral experience and refine enough to make it a daily driver. It will go down in history as a highly sought after car and has shot up in value.

The 997 was so sleek ! Especially the early ones, and without ginormous wheels introduced with 991. Love it.

Congrats on the 840, 000 subs fellas. Been watching since it was just Thomas doing his solo thing on the channel and it was great then, now it's another level of great with the addition of James. Continued success fellas, and i can't wait for you guys to hit the 1, 000, 000 mark.

Just to add, the Porsche 997.2 Carrera S does 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds (so 0-60mph in 4.3 seconds) and not a “hair over 5 seconds” as stated in the video. 😎 Love the video; great to see a MANUAL 992! The throw of the gait when changing looks so tight and precise!
