I understood mesh analysis more in 30 minutes from your explanation than I did from my 2 hour lecture. Thank you!

This kind of video is great for people like me who just do electronics for fun. I've got a career and no interest in becoming an EE, so I can't justify going back to school for this stuff, but I can justify spending a bit of free time on my hobby. Thanks!

Thank you for this video! I've been confused with my teacher's method because when I change the direction of the loop, it no longer works but this still works whatever the direction of the loop was. Again, Thank you!!

At 14:00, why does he put 8(i1 - i2) instead of 8(i2 - i1) when i2 flows through the positive of the resistor so shouldn't i2 be positive and i1 be negative?

I was confused as well but the answer is actually correct because there are two ways to solve this.

1) (His way) to keep the polarities constant in each loop while using the previous current calculation.

2) (another way) To change the polarities according to the current flow direction and input the new difference in current by giving priority to the current that is in that certain loop.

Both ways result in the same answers.
