Character Classes (Terraria 1.4 Beginner's Guide Series)

I played some Terraria when I was a kid, but never had the courage to go fight bosses or even enter the Corruption (I'm not a skilled gamer, I can't even remember ever beating a game). I picked Terratia back up a few days ago after having forgotten the game for almost 10 years, and I find I'm really into it. I'm trying to play without too much help, but there's just some strategies you really need to know. This guide is really great because it gives some handholds without spoiling too much!

I started playing Terraria when I was in 4th grade, now I'm going to 10th😂
I just got a Nintendo Switch and saw it was one of the games on the eShop and that reminded me it existed! You are so unbelievably underrated. Once I have the money to buy Terraria, I will be rewatching this series to get me back up and started again, after 4 years😂😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Also another good way to reserve ammo for ranger is an infinite musket or arrow pouch made at a crystal ball with a few stacks of the musket or wooden arrow

I love the fact that I've been playing this game since I was 10 years old in 2011, got it when it came out and have put over 2000hrs on the game and I still consume content for the game, and still find these videos helpful.

I started playing this game back when 1.1 existed and oh my gosh it has been amazing to see how much Terraria has evolved. Summoner is my all time favorite class mostly because of both the challenge and later on the reward that you get from it in hardmode

as someone who has played terraria way back in the ps3 gen and has played a lot for a long time I'm glad to see videos on the game for other helping understand new items from updates and general tips videos .also glad see the advice on not being to concerned with adamantly clinging to a single class in early game.

some personal experience from my playthroughs is
early game = mostly melee for survivability and the fact ammo is hard to keep topped up unless I'm stockpiling for bosses.

just about every boss pre hard-mode I swap to a range weapon like the mini-shark or star cannon otherwise for exploration its melee and if I get meteor armor I craft that and space gun. for free if weak spam shots, until I out pace that with molten armor

once hard mode starts I try and find the wizard to get the crystal ball for crafting an infinite musket ball pouch to solve my ammo problems, and then keep melee armor but use the megashark or other ranged weapons for both exploration and bosses. swaping to my best melee as needed in close combat if I can't keep a safe distance.

most mech bosses in hard-mode I normally use ether melee armor or summoner if I get the tiki armor set from the witchdoctor. and once you beat the moon lord as the final boss you might as well make the starcell staff and stardust armor for summoner damage since you don't need to worry about bosses.

in short you can try and do a melee only playthrough. or any of the other class only runs, but there is nothing wrong with a mixed class build aside from not being the best at a given type so unless your farming bosses or really struggling and even then it could be more arena then class issues just try and use good gear and use what works for you sometimes a versatility is better for things then a specialist build.
