What series should I run along side Awakening of the Rebellion?
Starship Troopers - Terran Command!
Or
Community Driven - Warhammer Total War 3 - As Bretonnia or The Empire!

7:30 Love how his reaction to a Providence Refit is met with disbelief, denial and then disgust 🤣

Ok, now's the time to move Mon Mothma over to Mon Cala. You get free MCs there, which would free up your budget to buy more carriers or ground forces.

28:44 Faced with a pressing need to disable the engines on a fully shielded vessel, Captain Shack orders every vessel *except* his torpedo boats to jump in on it. 😂

You should give the alliance assault frigates (AAF’s) a try! They are basically the cruiser-sized equivalent of the dauntless. They work great in wolf packs (at least 2), just like corvettes, but on a larger scale. 6000 anti-turbo shields/6500 hull (they recently got upgraded to heavy armor) and x8 med. close-range turbolasers w/ the “power to main batteries” ability to help rip through enemy capital ships.

Rebel Diaries 37 - The action in the core has quieted down for the moment, though I suspect that a lot of it relates to the Black Sun fleets striking out from Mandalore into Polus and blockading my positions on Ord Mantell and even attempting to claim the orbit over Saleucami in recent weeks. It would present that while the Black Sun doesn't have as many shipyards as Kuat in the region, they do have the facilities to rebuild or retrofit various old Clone Wars era ships. It's something that I'm sure Captain Shack would agree with me that it can be odd to see old Venators serving alongside Providence Class Cruisers, given how often those ships engaged each other during the Clone Wars... though I suspect that he may be used to this by now, given that Rebel One is with him in the Eastern Fleet and it is a modified Providence Class Cruiser as well. All of this has left a lot of action going on in the north.

The heart of the campaign has been around the Wheel, largely playing to the fact that its defenses were weakened following the Black Sun's failed attempts to take Saleucami. From what's reached me, it would appear that the campaign for the Wheel largely started with a series of raids that took out one of the Black Sun's shipyards and then rushing around to try and capture some new version of the Providence that the Black Sun as cobbled together. I didn't get much, but it seems like the Black Sun has simply strapped a bunch of proton torpedo launchers onto the cruiser and changed the engine layout... Odd. Though, it would also seem that the Black Sun is also worried and concerned over preserving these ships, possibly presenting nervousness over their defenses at Mandalore and the age of these ships.

And this shows. When the dance between the Wheel and Saleucami ended, the ship fled, but did not flee to the Wheel. The Eastern Fleet then made it's advance to the Wheel and actually secured the system, taking out several defense stations and light cruisers and frigates along the way. There were some losses to some of our lighter ships but given some of the initial fears over the cost of taking the Wheel, they are replaceable... and with the additional Dauntless Cruiser and an MC80 coming up to join the Eastern Fleet, they might well be in a still stronger position regarding some of these capital ships. I've seen some grumbling messages from Sluis Van that this has hurt their production for a new Southern Fleet... but for the moment, with the Black Sun in the south returning to some measure of passive stances and with the Central Fleets not too terribly far away, the Galactic South is not in as much of a hot zone as the Galactic North and East.

I would urge them to be calm... The fight has generally gone well, and with some key core worlds now, we're probably not too far behind the Empire in terms of production capacity for ships, fighters, and manpower. But even with that, it is not as though this will be an overnight win. The galaxy is vast and it will take time to move men and supplies, and with the repeated actions in the north, some patience in the south is going to be necessary for the moment. Particularly as the fighting has not been limited to around the Wheel. The new Northern Fleet has had it's own series of battles as well.

They defeated the small Imperial Fleet that tried to take Scipio and then retreated to Iridonia, where they took out one Star Destroyer and a carrier and then retreated before they lost the rest of their fleet before then being engaged by a Black Sun force over Iridonia as well. They report that they weren't able to defeat the Black Sun fleet, and only took out a couple of their support ships, but given the size of the force sent that would be understandable. From what I've heard, the new MC Cruisers are more powerful than the old Clone Wars tech that the Black Sun is using and can stand up to Star Destroyers, but two of them probably aren't going to defeat a fleet of up to 8 capital ships with escorting cruisers and frigates, including another of these retrofitted Providences. I might suggest that while this northern sector remains hot and Mon Calamari's production needs to be uninterrupted... I might advise that Mon Mothma remain at Hoth for a week or so... just so that the Eastern and Northern fleets can be reinforced...

I might move several of the fighters that were used to take down the Imperial Super Star Destroyer to the Eastern Fleet while bolstering some of the capital ships in the new Northern Fleet from Mon Calamari, in addition to whatever fighters are delivered to them. That may support both those fleets going forward and with luck my enable for the eventual strike on Yaga Minor and the campaign to secure Mandalore, which I suspect will be a harsh one...

Speaking of luck, the forces under my command at Ord Mantell got another odd break... We've been watching the Black Sun fleet over us but not land troops. Not their mercenaries, not their new "murder toasters, " and not anything else. Then the fleet that was over us was chased away by a relatively minor Imperial fleet... and may have even been the same fleet that the new Northern Fleet defeated earlier. Of course... the Empire was willing to attack us, and we did very well. They had a lot of air power, but between the turbolaser towers and some placed AA batteries, their air offensive failed and we appear to have taken down Veers' AT-AT, again. The man may be retired in a few months if this keeps up... or when this is over, I suspect we'll only find Veers' head connected to some kind of computerized droid built into an AT-AT. The man seems to be a glutton for punishment, and I'm pleased to report my men are more than happy to dish it out to him. - General Rieekan.

Watching your fleet bust into the wheel and break Black Sun's kneecaps was really satisfying. Also, remember you have a Hunt Shipyards mission right now! You don't want to lose that. If you attacked Mandalore, probably Corellia, or Yaga Minor right away, you could finish it. And you do have that fleet near Corellia, and a Liberty reinforcing your Wheel attack fleet.

Don't forget you have the 'smash a shipyard' mission up at the moment! A nd yay, the Wheel!

Definitely recommend taking out Mandalore once you get Ackbar as it should be Black Sun’s last major planet/stronghold but then I suggest you take out the CSA. It will give you more resources, free those captured units, and eliminate a potential back door threat to your rear lines.

40:24 The empire was really wanting Ord Mantell, they lost Vader on a failed attack before they came back and actually won the orbit.

Personal Log

Davon Cress, serving onboard Venator-Class Battlecarrier "Liberation"

Liberation QRF

Well Shack, never thought I'd see you commit to actually attacking the wheel. We've been stationed on Saleucami for far too long, enough to turn any sane man insane. When the order was given to attack the wheel, you could almost feel the tension in the Liberation's crew. Both Rogue and Saber squadrons have been training against black sun fighters specifically for this day.

The initial attack was a probing attack, not meant to be the decisive engagement that we wanted. Regardless, we did quite a bit of damage. Going behind the lines and destroying a black sun station housing a majority of their starfighters.

The second attack came days after, when intel reported their garrison to be rather ominously missing. In my head, I would have strongly advised to not engage, seeing as it would've been a trap... but knowing Shack, my advice would've fallen on deaf ears.

The decisive engagement went well. What little garrison they had was overrun by our fighter support and our sheer firepower. The two Dauntlesses, The Avenger and Rancor, managed to pierce through their lines and attack their main defense stations. Looks like we own this damn casino now. Well, last time I walked through those doors, I ended up gambling away enough credits to buy three speeders. Safe to say I'm not gonna be participating in gambling activities while I'm here.

In the northern front, we've seen both Imperial and Black Sun attacks. After a brief engagement with an imperial battlegroup, the black sun came in numbers, outnumbering our fleet more than 3 to 1. Being mostly a carrier group, all they could do was send in their fighters and run. We managed to take out an old Confederate carrier as well as an Acclamator before they got into firing range. Our retreat was one without too many casualties.

Rieekan also managed to hold off an imperial landing in Ord Mantell. That place is pretty much a fortress world given how dug in we are. Safe to say things look optimistic for the time being.

As for me? My investigation into this "Ghost X-wing" has had a few breakthroughs. One being an old video log Incom sent me. The second being the location of the recording. The recording shows one of the top executives talking about this "top-of-the-line fighter", later to be revealed as the ghost X-wing we've been looking for. It matches all descriptions from eyewitness accounts. Long wings, five engines, slender proportions. Unfortunately the recording abruptly ends there. Much of the original file was corrupted, this was what we could salvage.

The date of recording appears to be several years before the X-wing was released to the public market, meaning this does confirm my suspicions of it being a prototype.

For the location? Coordinates were attached to the file, leading to an old Incom R&D facility in the Altaan system. Being a low priority system in the core regions, the system is guarded by a small imperial logistics hub, whose garrison is at most an Arquitens. It's far behind imperial lines though, nesscessitating an infiltration. Looks like that Gozanti I confiscated back at Eriadu may come in handy after all. I might need Rogue or Saber squadrons' help though. For now though, Davon Cress, out.

You should build a crap ton more freighters in the south because the entire south is pretty much yours meaning that the freighters can make deliveries without being interrupted by another faction.

27:38 That's cuz the asteroids are coded such that they fire an invisible projectile to each ship to simulate asteroid damage. The reveal is due to how all units firing at your units get revealed.
