Just wanna say thank you for this guide it really helped me a ton. I tried this mod a couple months ago and loved the detail and the variety in it but the difficulty was just something I couldn’t get used to. The 2 attempts I made I barely could afford to construct imperial Is much less invest in space stations and ended up unable to fight off rebel attacks, I tried again yesterday following this guide more or less and it worked amazing and it really reignited my love for this mod.

Dont know if i would call myself a veteran of this mod but played enough of it to concur with almost everything stated.
Only change i would make is early investment into another ISD, limiting immediate economic expansion to just coreworlds initially.

2nd mining world in core, Abregado Rae.

my normal focus is economics, followed by a deep strike south to claim the southern fleet with all forces, split into 2 fleets. Southern conquering force & a core defence fleet with Ozzel. Yes he is bad, but an ISD is an ISD.

Aggression early can win you allot of territory but beware the cost of over extension.

Remember to invest in ISD's. Yes, fighter and corvettes will do damage, but you can use Tarkin fear tactics (drop 3 isd's on a system, most of the time they flee). If the enemy holds, beat them with firepower. Also, Victory 1's are incredibly useful, dont lose them. They are hard to justify building being 10k unless you are replacing losses or building a new fleet. On their own they are lack lustre but 2-3 with ISD front line not only keeps them save but allows them to kill off the enemy at range. Keep the starting ones alive as best you can and you will see how much worth they have.

Look around for what planets get upgrades to the Govenors palace, prioritize upgrading them inbetwen military expansion. Try balance ecnomics & build up. Also for non front line planets & credit worlds, put down economic stations

I really love the Empire early game. My personal problem is i end up being too economically strong . I also struggle to see worth in some of the tech. Upgrades to get certain ships just dont justify the costs. ISD spam is effective & relatively cheap. SSD's are a waste of resources plus arent that good either

Hey man I know this video is old but if you see this, how do you properly utilize Bellator SSD? I got far enough that I built two of them but I’m not sure how to build a support fleet for them or where they’ll do the most efficient damage to the other factions. How would you use them and what would you use to support them?
