I’m tired of talking about how overrated Russ is. It’s the same thing year after year: him getting a triple double, slack jawed idiots enamored by this, but covering up his terrible shooting percentage and his terrible playmaking. His defensive coverage is atrocious, sagging off of defenders so he can get a rebound, his management with the ball, and decision making is horrendous.

And what has these triple doubles done for Russ? A first round playoff knockout, but don’t worry guys he got a triple double, that sure makes everything better right? Instead of bringing glory to your team, fans, and city, but only yourself?

Hate KD all you want people but let’s face the facts: KD is the reason that OKC got even in the finals and WCF. He is the only reason you were even near there. And what did management do? Get rid of Harden and let Russ be the man and let the MVP winner play a subservient role. KD left to join a team that had a winning culture, unselfish play, and some of the humblest stars in professional basketball.

KD never needed Russ, Russ needed KD. And unless Russ can learn this and play differently he will never win a championship in his life

Thank god you made this video man. Nothing makes me angrier when people talk about how hard Westbrook plays "no matter what" when he refuses to move without the ball and plays NO defense, which people also refuse to acknowledge. Thanks for bringing these issues to light

Westbrook still has so much potential. If he were willing to apply himself defensively, take less shots, and take more care of the ball while getting players involved he'd be incredible. If he averaged 19 pts 8.5 assist and 7.5 rbs while going hard on defense and minimizing tos he'd be spectacular and his team would be so much better. He's wasting his prime with selfish play

As a Thunder fan,

I completely agree with you. It’s not fun to watch most Thunder games and yes it’s so amazing to watch when he tries down highlight dunks and has an amazing 40+ point game but it’s not worth it to see him have games shooting 20% and bucking up 10 threes. As soon as Presti announced we’d be keeping Donovan I knew that next season even if by slim chance Paul George returns we wouldn’t be able to do anything past the second round or possibly even the first. Because Donovan doesn’t have any balls to step up to the plate and criticise Russ in what he’s doing wrong (and yes I do blame Russ for his shortcomings, I’m not throwing all the shade to Billy Donovan despite the fact he’s a poor coach) Russ has just developed these poor habits like padding his rebounding stats and taking too many shots. I do believe Russ is a great passer but for me he should be at around 7 or 8, not 10. He’s only getting those extra 2 assists above what he should be getting because of how much he holds the ball and how much of the offence is run through him.

I’m really not looking forward to the next 3/4 years as a Thunder fan. Pail George will most probably leave then we’ll just get 42-46 wind for the next 3 years and get bounced out every year.

He is one of the last players you would ever want to be teammates with. He plays the game the same way Wilt did before Alex Hannum was made the 76ers head coach, a ball-hogging stat-padder. Wilt didn't win any titles playing like that, and Westbrook damn sure ain't Wilt. He needs a coach that busts his ass and breaks him down, makes him play to win games and not for self-glorification through meaningless individual stats.
