Correction: O'Leary was never even CLOSE to becoming prime minister. He was running for Conservative Party leader, but dropped out of the race (likely because there was an infinitesimally small chance he would ever garner enough support to even challenge the others running for leader of the CPP)

You have ONLY just discovered In the 1970s I worked for CP Air in Sydney, Australia - in Cargo/Flight Ops - the Management came from Vancouver, no local Australian staff above grade 1 supervisors - that was so stupid, because we were technically waaaay beyond the backwards Cannucks they sent over, yet all the high paid positions went to these technically un-qualified staff by Australian standards. And as foreign employees, they scored free housing, free car and free education for their kids - none of which was available to the Australian employees!! Talk about sending "coal to Newcastle"!!
