Original Ford GT40 MKII Start Up and Revs - EPIC V8 Sound!

Yesterday I unexpectedly found an original 1970 Ford GT40 MKII, I asked to the owner to make some noise and he was kind enough to do some very loud revs for the camera. Hope you'll enjoy the sound of this timeless classic muscle car!

I've worked on this particular car in my ex workplace and i can assure you it's not an original gt40, it's a replica built in England and modified in Brescia where I've worked as a mechanic to look like a "real" gt40

That’s either a reproduction or it’s a MK1. The MK2 had the 427, this one has the small block in it. The valve covers make it easy to tell.

Its a small blip in time which we will never get again

Short stroke small block with higher compression, radical cam, 180 headers, and open pipes. That's the recipe for that sound.

It’s incredible how short these race cars are! I forget that the 40 in GT40 refers to the height of the car. Still incredible! I might need the Gurney Bump installed if I ever could afford one of these cars.
