Car Chase - [complete bluray scene] - Drive (2011)

Nice script by Winding Refn, sadly erroneous cinematography weakens this scene:

main distraction is shots blinking between morning and late afternoon on mountain passageway,
along with Mustang getting dusty (00:56) and then clean again afterwards,
also some vehicles' position & speed leaps and other minor inconsistencies between the shots make it look very artificial;
Finally there is THE CONTROVERSIAL CAR TELEPORTATION (00:43) - oncoming silver Prius becomes bypassing blue Corolla and then recedes as black Aygo (＠_＠).

Overall still a pleasant video from respectable movie and significant improvement over the leaked prerelease version.

Well, my guess here was that that Mustang was factory stock and that Chrysler wasn't, and that 300C had a Hemi with a superchager so that it put out at least 500 horsepower, or maybe even 550 or a little more. And that's why the Stang was unable to outrun it.  You know.. a logical reason for this.  I'm glad the Mustang got away.  I have a 2012 Mustang, same color as this one, but mine has the 3.7L V6 and a 6 speed manual.

All I think of when I watch this is Bullitt. And that's fucking cool. The shots, nothing but the engines making noise. No goofy music, no goofy effects or CG. Just pure grit and grime on film. Such a tense chase.

the ONLY thing I don't like about this scene is that there's no way in hell a 300c would keep up with a coyote mustang, other than that, this scene is better than F&F 5-10 combined
