When I was working for a major car company a dealer told me a story. A celebrity had ordered a Lamborghini but for some reason had backed out of the deal. They put the car in front of the dealership to attract traffic. Soon a scruffy looking person was seen to be walking around the car; but only the most junior salesperson was even willing to go out to speak with this person. He turned out to be a wealthy Canadian hotel owner--and he bought the car. Lesson learned--don't judge the customer based on looks!

That was beautifully satisfying. The interesting part to this story is the salespeople cannot afford the very cars they are selling so it is kind of ironic they look down on those who don't fit the stereotype of wealth. As a side note, old money rich families never flaunt their wealth so you can never really be sure of what they have whereas new money rich is flashy, exposed and often highly suggestive to having more than they have.

I don't know where y'all live, but there absolutely no way a clueless guy that dosen't even know the main car brands is actually going to spend over 300k$ on a sports car. The sellers aren't "rude" or "racist", they just assumed that he just wants to waste their time, which he did. The lady was actually nice for taking the picture tbh

I once sold a brand new fully loaded AWD Dodge Magnum to a lady crossing the car lot with a bag full of aluminum cans... all the other sales people laughed when I approached her. They weren't laughing when I ran her credit and it was 810 and she had 10k to put down. Never judge a book by its cover.
