Adam: “It was the woman YOU gave me! 😭”
God: “Oh, you’re blaming ME, now? That’s it, mister: you just lost your Garden and immortality privileges!”

God gave instructions to Adam about the tree. It was his job to communicate the importance to Eve. To a complementary Christian Adam was the one fully responsible.

The central premise of CS Lewis’ “Perelandra” is that the curse didn’t come until Adam ate of the fruit as well, that there was a chance for him to have redeemed Eve if he had only obeyed.

Interesting, i'm a muslim and never once was i taught that Eve tempted Adam, it was the devil that tempted them BOTH, and even then we never really blame the devil entirely, Adam was the one at fault, God warned him, he did It
And Adam blamed himself, immortalized in the Holy Qur'an as a prayer for forgiveness,
رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
Meaning: "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers"
In fact this du'a (prayer) id still used today by muslims.

Well, Jews would ask, "where was her husband while the serpent was corrupting her?" Had he been with her, protecting her, he could have prevented the corruption. Some perspectives on the text say that this happened the same day she was created. He should have been consummating their marriage, but instead he left her all alone. He failed as a husband, therefore corruption entered the world.

And yet the Apostle Paul said, "Through one man sin entered into the world and ... death spread to all men."
So Adam was to blame, not Eve.

I always thought that it was a 50/50 chance who got there first. I never thought that it had some underlying agenda. I just thought that it was a historical incident and Eve just happened to be there first.

They didn’t have knowledge of good and evil before they ate the fruit of knowledge of good and evil. How could they have known it was evil to disobey god before they even knew what evil was? How is this not god’s fault?

Eve was tempted by a professional con artist the devil serpent. But Adam was tempted by a mere woman.

It is a take on "ignorance is bliss". God wanted us to remain ignorant and naked in the jungle. The apple represented knowledge.

Okay...as an anology to owning yourself. I get it.

Eve was actually the one to realize there would be no progression without taking the fruit. Otherwise they would be stuck in the same sate forever

This is contextual
There’s more to the dynamic than what Jordan Peterson is explaining

It was Adam’s failure that brought that situation about in the first place. He was given two responsibilities- to guard and cultivate the garden. The fact that the serpent was even there in the first place says that he was slacking. He fell down on the job, and allowed Eve to be tempted, and then attempted to shift blame to her. That’s the primeval sin of all men - shirking responsibility, and attempting to dodge the consequences by blaming others.

If you read through the passage you’ll notice that neither of them noticed their nakedness or felt shame until after Adam ate of the fruit. Eve’s eating of the fruit didn’t have any immediate side affects but Adam, who was suppose to be the leader of his family, his eating did bring immediate consequences to both of them.

To disobey the order, to break command of doing one particular thing, of not doing.
VS
To disobey the order, to break command of doing one particular thing, of what to do.

Scripture says that Eve “was deceived”.
It also says that Adam wasn’t deceived, and knew exactly what he was doing, even though he probably didn’t realize the long-term ramifications/consequences of this act.
My personal belief is that he knew what he was doing. …. And he also knew that he would be separated from Eve forever if he ALSO did not partake in the eating of the forbidden fruit.

😂😅 so true jordan, also Adam had the revelation from God not to eat of the tree, then Adam told eve, so eve had the revelation 2nd hand, with 1st hand revelation from God comes empowerment. Also eves discernment was correct, when she said she was deceived, bless you jordan, I so love your heart my brother and our spiritual father❤❤
