Great job and can I say, love that you had your son helping you. I admire the effort he puts into doing a good job. It always meant so much to me when my dad involved me in his projects

I was looking for belt suggestions, but also appreciate your foster care suggestions, have been pondering the idea for a while and hearing you talk about it really help influence the idea. Keep up the positive influence.... You're reaching out 😃

I noticed that you appear to be praying for the Seattle SuperSonics to return one day too. Great build. I'll be emulating it come Spring. It's exactly what I need to build.

Love the channel and love your heart Nick! I discovered your channel through my journey researching laser projects after we purchased our P2/F1 bundle late last year. Looks like I’m sub #3 to the new channel so definitely looking forward to your content there as well. I’m a proud Pit Boss/Blackstone guy also. Keep up the good work sir and we’ll keep watching here in Ohio. I was an OTR trucker for 30 yrs and had the pleasure of visiting your state at least half a dozen times., God’s country out there, my friend…take care!

Nice little project. If I were doing it I would have used 6x6 posts and any exposed cut ends of pressure treated wood, needs to be re-sealed. Also, using a scissor lift would be okay; however, you would need a rough terrain scissor lift, which is quite large compared a 19’ electric scissor lift, which not go on grass into a backyard. The deck part was a very nice addition! Thought you might of shown a wide shot of it all completed with the lights on, all decorated.

I would of going to a metal roofing company and ordered exact length on your roofing, usually about 2/3's the cost of a big box store.
No seams less possibility of leaks.

Im digging holes for a free-standing patio cover right now. Smaller than yours, like 10x14’ or so. I was going to do a metal roof too. Lean-to style. I was planning in doing about 18 inches deep each hole. 2 inches of gravel and 16 inches of concrete in a 12 inch tube. Do you think that works? Im also in western washington.

Where do you live? How do you keep code reinforce for hurricanes? Are you confident about storm endurance?

Looks great. I think you may have some issues with your lumber sizing. Looks like you mostly use 2x6's. Might want to look at a span chart

I love it & agree the over kill looks fantastic. Black & wood is a fav of mine too!
Love the grill area back wall.
How did you install the frame for the cedar siding behind the post you already had in place?
I hope you understand my question.

FYI regarding the base screw. In SW Washington (edited the post as I just heard you are in W Washington as well!) I bought one of those screw post bases for a new mailbox and we get enough rain that the soil becomes saturated to the point that the mailbox is now leaning just a bit and there is some motion when I push on it, but it is propped at the base with some concrete remnants so it is good to go, but for my area I will probably redo it with a concrete base at some point.
