Single is still my favorite so far. I guess I just play better with it, I know how to combo things better.

If doesn’t have a weakness imo either. It’s very fast, defense is fine, damage is good.

Crossguard is my favorite. It deals huge chunks of damage and obliterates enemy stamina bars. I love that it's slow, because I have always been in love with high risk=high reward playstyle.
Despite it being so slow that you can deal almost the same amount of damage with several other stances, I am personally good and effective at the playstyle so I can personally deal the most amounts of damage with it. I also absolutely love the big change of pace with it and the awesome heavy-feeling attacks.
The other stance really depends, I like all other stances a lot but I tend to use Blaster or Dual sabers for most situations.

Big respect for everybody's opinion! All stances are actually great if you know how to use them. But me, being a Great Sword main in Elden Ring, that tasty change of pace, high risk high damage is irresistable for me personally. Have a great day lad!

After reading the comments I don't think others have realized how absolutely broken dual weild is. Its not about damage, reach, speed, its the special 'skill' of it. You can press block at any time even during an attack. Which means you can always parry something. Dual wielding makes every boss fight easy if you know their moveset, because you can attack constantly, parry in the midst of a combo, then keep going. The only other one I would run is double edge because of its blocking ability against heavy gunners, but once I realized what dual wield does I never switched off it.

I think single lightsaber is actually very underrated in this game. The left bumper or L1 + light attack is so good. The dash kind of tracks onto bosses even if they dash or go invisible. It's so good in the 1v1 boss fights

The blaster stance has a lot poise dmg even with the saber strikes.

I like blaster and double blade. It’s kind of a trade off between single target and AoE, speed and finesse, offense and defense. With this set you’re covered at all ranges and have some of the coolest animations. I also think the blaster is fitting for Cal, like he’s finding his own way moving past just being a Jedi. Realizing he can do more good by being more than a Jedi

Blaster stance with full perks for more lightsaber dmg after shots and more blaster dmg, adds alot if you remeber to weave in blaster shots in meelee. The animations of this also looks cool. Started to crush huge groups with force powers after having enough points instead of using doubleblade, so now looking for another backup weapon that best helps to fight the hard boss battles.

Love the blaster stance. Can easily take care of a bunch of the weaker enemies one shorting them. Then for bosses you can break their guard from a far and then do the rapid fire lunges to get all your shots back. Repeat! And it really fits the like space western fantasy that so much of Star Wars falls into.

I’m using regular and blaster; blaster has a really nice looking swinging style and the swings do a lot more damage than I expected, and the regular just looks the most natural. The double bladed has probably the coolest looking animations, but only Maul can make it look fully clean

I thought I'd be using the duel wield stance as my primary, but I gravitated to the blaster stance. It's blaster parry is just so satisfying, not to mention it can parry unblockable attacks if you get the timing down. Because it doesn't do well in groups, I have it paired the double blade.

My favorite combo is dual stance and crossguard because i have super fast attacks to take down someones defense and then i can take a chunk of health out with one or two blows. I think what a lot of people are forgetting with this game, is that the reason you have two stances equipped at once is because they are to be used in tandem. The blaster stance is week on its own but when used with the single blade or cross guard it can be very well utilized by using the blaster and quick jabs to take down the shield and then do a couple of heavy attacks while their guard is down

For now my fav is to use the cross guard for the massive power on the larger enemies and the double blade for the smaller stuff or when there's a load swamping you.

I'm using the double blade and dual blade stances most, those really suit my plan style best and are most fun to use. 😂

So many are sleeping on the single blade because of the new stances. I'd say overall the single blade is one of the best because it hits fairly hard and have some good moves unlike what you said.
You just didn't bother with it. Charged throw, overhead attacks, dash attacks and lunge with fairly long range and then the standard swings. Because it's all around a good stance, it's also good in most situations and it's good at going against elite.

Like you said all the stances have some "trade-offs" but that is just the thing. Single blade doesn't have any trade-off. It has no real weakness.

dash and lunge = close in from range. standard attacks deals with multiple enemies, Charged throw is range and increased damage. Leap attacks and overhead attacks. You can even deal with airborne droids.
It actually has the most options and diversity in it's skills. The other ones have a few but they just follow one another.

Double blade is otherwise good for crowds, with flurry of attacks but since weaker hits, mostly good for weaker but many mobs.
Blaster stance seems really weak in the shots and the trade off is you have no real blade skills.

Cross guard seems great as heavy hitter. but the big risk of a missed timing in how slow you move. With single blade by the time you do one hard hit with cross guard you have done the same damage with a single blade.

Started with Dual Wield, but didn't like the moves that much, moved to Maul-style, loving the moves, especially the adsh forward and the animations if you keep hitting attack. But only recently rerolled to go with Single handed after being fed with all these alternative styles. Couldn't be happier with single! Very cool moves, you feel like your favorite lightsaber hero and the attacks are fast and do very good dmg. Beside, it looks really weird to have two green sabers or green double blade. But single looks great!

All of em super cool. Playing with all one by one. Blaster one turn out better than expected. You can actually combo with it. 1 blaster shot after every saber swing. Single stance overall best imo. You have jump attack, dash attack, simple and effective string

IMO, in pure power it goes
1. Blaster stance- there is so much you can do with the blaster stance. It’s great in group fights, great in boss fights, there is just so much you can do with this. It has great range and has great defenses while still being able to dish out damage.
2. Double bladed- disintegrates groups, and still good in boss fights, also arguably has the best skill tree
3. Single- the most basic, but also the Jack of all trades. This is the most consistent, has cheapest moves as well. It has basically no problems
4. Dual- super quick some solid moves, but also defensively quite weak and has quite weak range. Still good though.
5. Crossguard- they’re all good, but it can be slow and is honestly pretty weak in group encounters

Right now blaster feels like the most fun overall paired with mostly maxed resilience and concentration trees, it also involves the most upgrades, and I agree the skill tree isn't flashy but because of that I feel like it's got 0 fat on it, every skill is useful, the blaster skills either keep pressure on single target stamina bars, or if properly utilized, good players (not me) should be able to crowd control while they lunge in and pick certain targets off, you have a lot of options, I think you have to make use of the parry shot to get people off you as well as the deadeye skill to hit multiple opponents whenever possible, also stun charge can help manage the battle, greater hold turns the tide with any one of the aforementioned strategies, without being OP because you only get like 1 greater hold per fight, it allows you to set up an effective dead-eye or gives you time to lunge in and take out the most irritating target, so many options.

I am still not great at it, but for me it feels like a really intentional stance, I find that I need to get much better at targeting specific enemies so I can get a charge shot off on someone I don't want to deal with now and then when pressing the attack the cadence between lightsaber and normal blaster shots is really fun, back and forth between square and triangle seems to reward with quick kills, and it eats up your ammo forcing you to drop into block stance and get off a flurry or time a perfect evade to recover enough force to do a flurry.

So far it's my favorite because it really feels like I gotta have a plan going into everything: force pull and kill that range guy, then stun shot that strong guy, lunge in and take out the other guy, parry shot whoever is on top of me at that point, greater hold to deadeye to buy more time, and on and on. It's also a weird stance because you can combo defensive moves, like normal parry first attack, perfect evade second and then parry blast the final attack.

I run single blade as my secondary because I love the smooth feel of holstering the blaster and shifting to a slightly different fighting style without needing to transform the hilt, I also love how aerial single blade can be, and it has a few strong saber swings without going full crossguard levels of slow.

for me they go like this

1) Crossguard - longtime Souls player so this large Space Greatsword made me feel right at home. The overcharged deflect became to good for blaster defense, why bother shooting them yourself when you can bounce there own bolt back, but dozens of times stronger? Despite it's slow nature, the jump attack is actually quite fast and boosts the stances stagger potential, leading to very quick "instant air attacks" I named them (tap the jump button lightly, Cal will barely jump off the ground only a few inches, you can attack during this airborne state if your fast) and yeeting your lightsaber through 10 Stormtroopers never gets old
2) Blaster - found it best one on one when I needed a bit more speed and the range is nice. The flurry stab restore shots quickly and the overcharge shot demolishes stamina and health bars so it has some rather heafty damage to. The quickdraw is nice when used with the force to level a crowded battlefield quickly
3) Single - Very balance when I can't make up my mind. Wide open moveset gives it a bit of everything. Aerial Dash Strike is also rather good at closing distances as well, I really can't find anything else to compete with it and in some situations I was able to use it as a make-shift mobility tool as well. I tended to keep coming back to it far more often then most other weapons. I preferred others like Crossguard or Blaster but the balance it gives is something I couldn't pass up for general exploring, especially new planets
4) Double blade - Not that it is bad, I actually do enjoy it a lot and it is always the one stance I have equipped at all times. Early game worked quickly for melting bosses. It may have low damage, but like the blaster it is very deceiving. Each swing it about 3 or 4 hits and those swings mixed in with charged swings (each hit of the combo has it's own charged animation, each one dealing significantly more damage then the last BTW) My main boss melting combo went attack, attack, charge attack, tears stamina bars apart and chunks bosses. I did like other stances more but I couldn't take it off due to its crowd control, great defense and surprising boss melting abilities. It tended to loose it's defensive luster when the Crossguard came into the fold and the Crossguard and Blaster took over as main boss demolishers but crowd control became it's only use mid to late game
5) Dual Wield - I tried to make it work but for me, naturally favoring heavy weapons, I couldn't find my mojo with it. When I did get it going it still felt clunky, awkward and very risky to use with it's lower stamina and I seemed to take more damage while using it but I could be mistaken on that one. Most of the skills seemed useless overall apart from the split beam and auto parry stuff. The charged and delayed attacks definitely seemed useless. The retreating attack ended up getting me killed on quite a few occasions as even while using it to get out of trouble I still get hit which is always nice thanks to its one direction dodge and the cancel is nice, but I ended up using it to stop my attacks and parry and go back to attacking. I just can't get it through my head that with this stance I can in theory make my attacks safe in situations I deserve to be hit in due to misreading an attack, mistiming something, getting to greedy. It just feels so....wrong to me personally

I stopped using Dual Wield altogether it doesn't click for me and I get killed in situations I survive using any other stance. I focused on Crossguard, Blaster and Single as my primary and Double Blade as crowd control.

0:52 the biggest advantage to "single stance" is the fact. The very FIRST time you break enemies gaurd, you can do a "finisher" (only stance that does that)
