Honestly Sallador Saan is a really nice and reasonable man. He lost thirty ships (or around that number) and countless men and resources and got nothing out of the deal yet as soon as he sees Davos again he is friendly and seems very concerned for him and his son. Nicest pirate ever.

I don’t know why but I really loved Salladhor Saan. I truly wish he got some more screen time. Seemed like such an interesting character.

in the books, four of Davos' sons died in the Black Water battle. then Stannis tried to execute him for letting Edric Storm escape. And Davos is still freakin loyal. Davos has got to be in the top ten most loyal character in literature. Hopefully he gets to eat unicorns in Skagos while trying to recover Rickon Stark. the guy needs a freakin break.

You know, it's weird that 99% of wine-drinking characters in this show keep their wine and cups on a separate surface from the food. Wouldn't you want it NEAR the food? You know, so you don't have to get up every time you want a drink?

As notorious a man as Salladhor is supposed to be (I mean, he’s a pirate) it’s good to see that even a man like him is disgusted by Melisandre burning men alive in fanatical rituals.

Ser Davos was saved by his own honour and loyalty. A lot of lesser knights would have lied and said Joffrey as the chances were a lot higher of them being Joffrey loyalists as 95% of Stannis' army and fleet were destroyed/scattered.

this is a prime example of two friends, having opposing opinions and perspectives, but ultimately valuing and honoring their bond over indulging their personal views. in this particular case it is sallador showing his true friendship by contending davos' intentions whilst also acquiescing. that is prime friendship, "i will tell you all the reasons you will fail and why this is stupid. but if youre set on doing it, i will aid you...and talk some $#!@ while i do it"

Sallador saan is a British Tanzanian with such talents n speaks like an African with confidence. Due to that he's got a bigger role in a Series called His dark materials, an amazing series to-be!
