Thanks Jocko. I lost my wife at the end of 2019. We were married over 38 years. My head went straight up my ass and stayed there. I really needed this video. Disability prevents me from working, but it doesn't prevent me from living. I Think it's time to stop existing and it's time to start living again. Thanks again.

Broke, jobless and in debt but still somehow going through. Somedays even waking up is the hardest thing. Going through the toughest phase of my life and somehow hanging in. To anyone reading this, we will get through this and the sun will shine on us. 😊

I am 37, married with 2 kids, run my own company, train almost every day at home and go to bjj 2 times a week. Yesterday I got the news that I have a tumor in my testicle. I said, ok that's the next problem I have to solve, but damn the thought of possibly not seeing my kids again scares the shit out of me. I will beat this.

Good advice for the gym as well, the days you don't feel like doing anything, just go. No plan, just go. When you get there just lift something, get on a bench and do what you can do. Jump on the treadmill for a few minutes, etc. After about 10-15 minutes you'll usually find that groove and get into a full on workout and feel 100% better. All about staying in motion and focusing on something.

I have 2 diseases and got really sick last year. I was hospitalized over 30 times. I haven’t been able to work since October. My wife of 14 years lost all respect for me. We have two kids together. I helped her get to where she’s at in life and now that she’s successful she has turned her back on me. Talking to other men behind my back, going out getting drunk at a bar every other night. She wants a divorce. This past month has been my best month yet and I’m starting to feel better physically. I go back to work in two days. Gotta dig myself out of this hole. Thanks for the advice I’m going to try to keep moving forward and focus on getting better.

Im at the lifetime low. Wife of 15 years blindsided me for a year and filed for divorce. When she finally said those words "I want a divorce" whole world imploded on me. I was like zombie for two months reflecring on how good my life was but then i realised that life is gone and I literally had nothing else but bag of worn out clothes, phone, car and wallet. Then i started to think really hard with what i ended up with after 15 years of hard work and what are my options. Thank god i have decent job. By american standards i have low 6 figure income. I fought for shared custody and won. I bought 3 room condo and now starting to shape things arround me to reflect what/who i want to be in next 2 years. Its hard and still feel my loss but i cannot stay in the middle of woods figuring out in what direction the town is...

My advice to anyone who feels lost... Frist, don't panic. Ask, what problem is the critical one? All other problems just can wait. Work around that problem and the solution for many other problems will just show up. Akways keep moving, one problem at a time and suddently you realize things all worked out.
Got my self out of a living hell by that way...

My birthday this year, I took a moment and compared and contrast where I was and where I am today. A year ago I was suddenly fired from my job, I was still living with my parents, and all I did for my last birthday was go to McDonalds and then took a walk. Jocko is right about taking a walk. This year, I’m so competent in my new job they are giving me more responsibilities, I bought my first house, I’ve gotten stronger and leaner, took up a passion for boxing, and this year I had steak and twice-baked potatoes for my birthday and I was surrounded by my family that love me so much. Stay strong and keep getting stronger!

I’m 31 and having a tough time coming to terms with the fact that I am finally aging. My 20s are done. Ten years used to seem like forever, I know it’s not. I can say I appreciate time much more than I did, but with that appreciation comes sadness, because I also realize we don’t have much of it.

I feel it. About 10 months ago lost my car. And was forced to walk everywhere. At least 8 miles a day to and from work and other places. The snow the rain the heat. However what I wasnt expecting from this daily trudge is now having a ton more stamina and standing out from other people as a much better put together individual. At first I said it's gonna suck and it did for sure but personal growth and grit from it. Has made me a vastly better individual

I did exactly this. I started at Lowes as a seasonal associate with no skills other than work ethic and customer service. I outworked everyone around me, got promoted several times and became a successful salesman. In just a couple years I went from making $10/hr to $20/hr. It wasnt easy but it was simple. All I had was my mindset, my mentors, and my perseverance.

When surrounded by darkeness look for the light, even if it is a glimmer. Find it reignite and hold on. Repeat as necessary.

Literally start walking. In 2020, covid ended my business. The gyms also closed down so I had no where to even go. I found a trail on a map and started walking on it every day. Then at night I started walking all over the city I live in. I did this for a couple years. I would walk and talk (to God I think) and it helped me sort things out.
