She added depth and realism to her character. She’s an amazing actress😊

The movie is called The Menu and for content he basically invited her to die on this island so yeah makes sense why she attacked him.

Very happy to see when female rage is portrayed accurate. It always bugs me when woman get abused in movies and that the default of the situation is always to just be still, passive and cry (like Anya said). She did an amazing job and I'm really happy that she spoke up about this and the actual reality from a woman's perspective, and added depth to the movie

If nothing else it makes sense for the character, she's not one to just let herself be disrespected and let it pass, we see that demonstrated a couple times earlier in the film. So when someone signs her up to be murdered, essentially murdering her by proxy, her attacking him is completely true to the character.

I really liked that she attacked him in that specific scene, it was a great decision and made a big difference in the film.

I don't know what happened just before this scene, but if a girl ever had a brother or if a guy ever had a sister you know this is the first truthful reaction. Brutally hurtful words from a man can feel like a punch in the gut to a woman. Sometimes there can be that slow roll of a tear and other times we might be so inhumanely minimized and dismissed that we might be moved to defend ourselves physically, most esply if we're attacked physically. Yet, most unfortunately, many women have learned that their first attempt at defending themselves this way with a grown male counterpart might be their last.
A therapist once said the best kept secret is that women are quite capable of killing the men in their lives. They just choose not to. EVERYone has their limits.

She's a G for coming up with that idea. It works a lot more if you think about.

You guys, watch the movie ”The Menu”, this is where the scene is from. If you watch the movie then you would agree more than anything that the character’s motivation for slapping the other character is very much warranted. Trust me 😂 Then on the other hand I do agree that actors should avoid beating the shit out of eachother and instead pull off stunts if necessary. Cuz no one wants to be hit with full force 😂😅

I’m glad she believes the characters she plays have to be rooted in reality.

Unlike all the Mary Sue’s the cinema shoves down our throat

That was one of the most strangest movies I've EVER SEEN if not the most strangest and kind of disturbing yet at the same time it was kind of INCREDIBLE. It was also one of the most eye popping on the EDGE OF YOUR SEAT SUSPENSEFUL films

Women slapping men used to be a common trobe in old films, with three outcomes:
1 The man accepts the slap
2 The man stops the slap with ease
3 The man gets slapped and returns it with double of force.

In the 3 outcomes the man was mainly responsible for one of the 3 outcomes, not the woman. That is curious as 70 years ago even men controlled how they were gonna be held accountable lol

I love the authenticity of this new generation of women. They will carry the art for generations to come. Bravo.

Sounds like a classic fight flight freeze fawn situation. Some will have the slow tear (freeze) and some will attack (fight). Its good to see all of them be represented.
