My theory is that the Sora in Smash is Post-Remind/Pre KH4 Sora, instead of going straight to Quadratum Sora was drifting through various fictional worlds with the Smashverse being one of them

The prospect of Smash Ultimate being canon to Kingdom Hearts is so unironically fitting and perfect as it is the biggest crossover event in gaming history and bound to somewhat possibly happen to any of the other franchises in the game

I always theorize that Sora's time in Smash took place between the ending of 0.2 BBS and beginning of 3, when Sora returned to Yen Sid's tower and Donald and Goofy asked what was Sora doing that took him forever, and Sora said "Hehe, secret!"

Hope one day nomura makes a kingomhearts style game but just with Nintendo worlds that would be dope

I think after Sora use the power of waking and meets Yorzora, he lost after their fight and Sora’s body becomes crystallized and shattered to a thousand pieces that also damaging his heart and it takes time for all the lost pieces of himself to become whole.
When Mario summon Sora to the Smash world, Sora doesn’t have all the pieces of himself which explains why he looks like his KH 1 counterpart.

During his time at Super Smash Brothers, he was able to find the pieces together with the help of his new friends. However after he got the all pieces of heart together he got transported to some where else and lost his memory of the time he spent at the smash world,
In the KH4 trailer, Sora looks much older and it looks like he is in a place similar to Tokyo Shibuya in a Final Fantasy style.

If Super Smash Brothers is part of the kingdom hearts story, I want to see Sora interacting and teaming up with iconic video games characters and travel to different worlds from video games while fighting monsters along side with Mario, Link, Fox, Ness, Kirby, Samus, Pikachu, Pit, and Cloud

It's possible that Sora in Smash could just be Data Sora. Given his default outfit is KH1, it makes sense. Plus, he used abilities that all somewhat line up with his abilities in Re:Coded. In addition, Data Sora appears in Limit Cut, explaining his use of KH3 abilities and attire. Since Data Sora would have the least impact in the story, it would be the most sensible.

I agree that Sora being in Smash could be Cannon from the end of Remind before Kingdom hearts 4 that Sora’s Heart time traveled to his younger Self sleeping in 358/2 days and even if his memory of being in Smash had been erased looking back to Young Xehanort who said that when he returns to his Own time and have not memories of anything he seen His Destiny will be imbedded in his Hearts so Sora’s Experience from being in Smash and connection to the other fighters will still be imbedded in his Heart forever.

i still laugh when i think about how picky nomura was being about Sora's inclusion in smash, everyone else just see's it as a fun crossover game to allow there favorite video game characters to do battle and then we have Nomura who would only include Sora if he could think of a way to make it canon to Kingdom Hearts, we all made jokes that nomura would make Sora's inclusion part of the Lore but the fact that was actually the case it took so long to get Sora in is Something else lol :)

I just realized something! If Nomura was the one who hesitated for putting Sora in Smash, then how does it explain for the lack of songs in the Hollow Bastion stage? Disney was 100% okay with this, so I doubt they were the ones who were holding back the musics.

Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful that Sora made it into Smash and I'm happy with what we got, but it feels weird that there's so little songs and no remixes for the stage.

They really should've given Sora different keyblades to go with each costume. Oathkeeper or Star Seeker for KH2 costume, Shooting Star for KH3 costume, KH3 Ultima for Ultimate Form, Monochrome for Toon Sora costume, etc.
