Awano is the pure definition of that one lazy friend who is somehow stronger than all your friends combined for no reason

QTE begins:

I love how this song has just a touch of sadness to it. It reflects Awano perfectly. Someone who wasted his life chasing something he didn't truly care about. He spent so long getting to the top that he didn't have any time left to enjoy it when he reached his peak. Awano and Nishitani both made huge impacts on Majima and changed his life. He learned not to waste the time he has, because it doesn't last forever. What is the purpose of living if you can't enjoy your time alive?

Awano is the biggest "what if" in Yakuza. With the resolve of Shibusawa or Kuze that guy would've grounded everyone, Kiryu and Majima included.

I don't know which Lieutenant theme is my favorite. Kuze's is the perfect "still going" track, Shibusawa's was an amazing final boss theme... but this one's more subtle. It portrays the melancholy nature of Awano's tragedy. How he never sought what he could be. Surrounded by pleasure and tempted by the "easy life, " he never became a true yakuza. Only a witty, megaton punching pig. When Majima fought him, he saw how insanely strong he was. But Awano never got to live out what his strength entailed. He lived an easy life, and died easy.

If Awano ever reached his true potential, I have no doubt in my mind that he'd be able to flip a car over.

The way the piano comes back in at 1:25 is just insane. Yakuza 0 really has one of the best game OSTs of all time

Awano could've been the dragon of dojima but the dance floor is just too hot someone has to do it.

It feels that Sega gave all to Yakuza 0... amazing story, music, graphics, fights and characters

The fight was fit for Majima. Since Awano is known to be a consumer and an enjoyer of the night life, it was only normal that he'd face the Lord of the Night, one of the provider of his source of fun to be set straight. This fight is actually the ultimate customer against the ultimate manager.

Who would win?
The strongest lieutenant of Dojima

A lot of people often say that Majima would have turned out like Lao Gui if he killed him and Dojima, but another interesting perspective is that Majima would have totally ended up like Awano if he had gone back to Sotenbori. Both guys lived the rest of their lives centered around desires. Majima was hugely popular in Sotenbori and making millions off of two very successful Cabaret franchises, not to mention making money from breakdancing. He could have gone to a life full of money, fame and luxury like Awano did. Awano slowly grew bored of just beating up guys, however he even ended up depressed when he went to the luxury life. It truly wasn’t meant for him. However, Majima got lucky by living life to his desires. Because of this, Majima not only would grow in strength, but become richer, more successful and even become the vice chairman to the Tojo Clan, where Awano only became a Lieutenant of a once formerly powerful family. Awano really did leave an impact on Majima, and a deep one on that.

I knew this guy was going to be a beast after he stopped one of Kiryu's punches with no exertion but I damn near pissed myself when he smashed that wall with his bare fist.

All three lieutenants themes are awesome.

Awano is easily the physically strongest out of all the lieutenants but he’s also the least skilled out of them as well. Because his fighting style seems to reflect basic brawling using jabs, heavy swings and flip kicks. Compared to kuze, who was a boxer and shibusawa, who has the ability to switch fighting styles from his own variation of brawler, rush and beast.
