I felt euphoria randomly after finishing a math problem. I was sleepy, so I leaned back in my chair and had a little stretch. Then, boom! I felt a sudden, extreme happiness for a second. It was like my brain opened. I felt like I loved everything about my life, even though I was going through a tough situation. I felt like I could completely forgive people and love them, and also felt that everybody loved me.

I have only felt true euphoria twice in my life, at least what I think the true feeling of it is. I believe most people think it’s just feeling good or overjoyed. The two times it happened to me were not brought on by any of the things they say can cause euphoria. They both occurred a couple years apart and both I was driving. I think both only lasted about at most maybe 15 minutes but I think it was more like 5 I am over 50 now and both occurred in my mid 20’s. It was uniquely a brain thing, I thought maybe a weird issue were my brain final released a chemical that had been blocked my whole life. I definitely felt pure love and the most happiness and clarity I had ever felt and couldn’t stop grinning from ear to ear. To think people actually have that feeling often! I believe from my experience that the word is often used by people who don’t differentiate it from happiness, excitement, or being “in the zone”
