Not true at all, If this was the case the pilot would want to make a statement, he would have informed of the situation or crashed somewhere were people could see, maybe even potentially in a place with more people so he can kill more people, you don't make a plane disappear for no reason, plus a political figure put in jail is not a reason to end your life or to end a lot of lives, that's a very big fan move right there, this brings us to the start, if he where really a fan of that politic he would threatened for him to be released in exchange for the pasangers lives or he would crash where everyone could see to make a statement, or inform control of his act for the politic.
