Threats against FEMA workers hamper hurricane recovery efforts

Federal emergency workers were forced to pause their hurricane recovery efforts in North Carolina after National Guard troops reportedly discovered trucks of armed militia, who were “out hunting FEMA.” Many believe social media misinformation regarding Hurricane Helene may be fueling such safety threats. NBC’s Kathy Park reports for TODAY.

Fema has THREE SEPERATE BUDGETS THAT ARE SET BY CONGRESS. 1. Operating costs, 2. Disaster relief funding 3. Dhs funding for housing people comming over the border for asylum. Fema give $750 as an immidiate money to buy things you need until your atm works. Fema has up to 40k+ available funding that is not tied to your property ownwrship or needing to be paid back. That does not include the seprate money theought the Small Business Association available for impacted businesses. TAKL TO YOUR CONGRESSPERSON AND STOP HINDERING FEMA AND THOSE IMPACTED.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is an agency, initially created under President Jimmy Carter by implemented by two Executive Orders on April 1, 1979. The agency's primary purpose is to coordinate the response to a disaster that has occurred in the United States and that overwhelms the resources of local and state authorities. The governor of the state in which the disaster occurs must declare a state of emergency and formally request from the President that FEMA and the federal government respond to the disaster.

For me as a resident of WNC its the INSANE level of incompetence and ineptitude, lack of taking charge that F.E.M.A has been displaying sinc they started "working" with us.

They realy truly do care about their bureaucracy far more than they do in actually doing their job.
