Yes, a military helicopter did blew away Helene relief supplies

The North Carolina National Guard is investigating reports that a helicopter blew away hurricane relief supplies in the western part of the state.

Officials from the state’s National Guard said a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter crew has been grounded. This comes after the crew flew over a Hurricane Helene relief site and caused items to blow away.

Three tents and donated items from the local distribution set up were scattered from rotor wash while the crew attempted to land the aircraft. #Helene #News #Military

BS. We saw how long they hovered. It took them much too long to react to seeing damage below them, and in fact given the amount of things and people in the landing area should have IMMEDIATELY prevented them from even approaching it. I'm calling BS on this.

BS! I have been involved with military aviation since the late 1970's and most recently rotary wing systems, Black Hawk pilots are best of the best, that right seater knew exactly what they were doing.

BS, Where was the generator??? Wasnt strapped to bottom of the Helicopter. Oh was it in side the Helicopter, that means it was loaded and will have to he unloaded by hand. Oh, by hand? That means it's a small generator.... WITH PLENTY OF THEM ALREADY THERE AND MORE IN A FEW TRUCKS. BULLSHIT

This blackhawk incident was intentional, IMO. A black, unidentifiable Blackhawk helicopter that looked very dark green to me, was slowly circling our lot. After 3-rounds or so, it dropped, slid directly over our work area (the only tented area on that side of the lot), dropped again and hovered. It then tilted, paused and slowly moved off and away. It all, but destroyed every section on the town side of the lot. The tent was sucked up off the lot where I was standing . . . . paused . . . . then sucked my hat right off my head.

This was a no landing site! Only one sight seeing chopper landed in the beginning and was told in no uncertain terms this is NOT a landing zone and to leave!! It wasn't just stuff . . . hard working Americans donated these items to our people and we were working very hard to get them out to them. It was scary for many and very dangerous! The cleanup was time consuming for already exhausted volunteers and there must be accountability. I knew it was military and had been watching/hearing it circling us for probably 15-minutes. Intentional, IMO.

My husband's friend went there with over 100 horses and other ppl to help and the person that was supposed to show them were to go what to do how to help was not replying to them anymore once they got there.

It happened and it was a mistake. That's all. Why would you suspect that somone serving his or her country in the National Guard (a branch of the military) would purposefully harm the people they have sworn to defend. Paranoia has definitely set in.

I live here where it happened. Me and my wife seen the whole thing the parking lot was full tents supplies and vehicles. I thought something was wrong with the helicopter. It looked like it was trying to land in the middle of everything that was set up . Stuff was flying into the road. I'm surprised know one got hurt.
