The E-Class has long been Mercedes-Benz's most important model in India, ever since the brand set foot on our shores with the W124. Since the launch of the long-wheelbase (LWB) V213 in 2017, it has consistently been the best-selling luxury car in the country. Mercedes expects the new V214 to continue that streak. However, this time, getting it right is even more crucial, as it faces direct competition on equal footing. BMW has also discontinued the standard wheelbase, offering the new 5 Series exclusively in LWB format. India is now the only market where both these cars arrive as right-hand-drive LWB versions. We drove the E200 petrol variant to discover what the 11th generation E-Class brings to the table.

A near 1cr car not getting ventilated seats which a car like tata punch offers is quite extreme level of cost cutting. Removing the rear screens and rear control tablet was okay but this is seriously quite unacceptable.

I am upset that the host brushed off the lack of ventilated seats as a no-need feature. At 1 crore I want a guy fanning me at all times xD not to mention the missing air suspension. Benz doesn't respect the Indian consumer even a bit.

They gave a soft pillow instead of seat ventilation and massage on a brand new E Class 😂. Not to mention useless more screen real estate 😂

I would go for the e class due to the attractiveness and sobur design whereas the 5 loses on a lot of useful bits then the previous gen

BMW 5 series LWB also uses the same 225/55 R18 which is on the New E class, it’s just the alloy wheel design of Benz masks its size well.

The reviewer is going gaga about the car and not highlighting the negative points. Looks more like a marketing video than a true review. What I as a customer would have wanted 1) Ventilated seats. This is absurd not having it. 2) Where is Adaptive CC? Unbelievable! 3) HUD is needed. 4) Air suspension, please. What they should remove 1) Selfie camera doesn't help. Could have kept voice or fingerprint for ID.

Sirish, 5 also uses 18 inch wheels and I think its more of a freudian slip.. Also, please make some videos on tuning of cars including the NA ones
