Many reviewers are so "honoured" to review new cars from manufacturers they are actually petrified to say anything negative making the review gushy and pathetic. In contrast Thomas, your reviews are fearlessly honest and informative with all pros and cons listed which is the hallmark of an excellent review.

That traditional one with the hood ornament is gorgeous

The scratches already showing on the brand new, gloss black interior is very luxurious looking!

Flushed door handles - looks nice, totally unnecessary. Aero gain is minimal, could go wrong. And will, eventually.
Electro powered vents - although looks over-engineered, it actually make sense. They can auto adjust for optimal airflow, and you can still adjust them manually if you want to. Best of both worlds.
Dash camera - probably good as a security feature when the car is locked/breached. Otherwise just a gimmick and a spy tool for the paranoid. :)

Agree I hate flush door handles. Not only are they just one more thing to go wrong (and they will at some point) the claimed aerodynamic advantage is minimal and negligible in day to day driving.

Wish they'd Bring back physical buttons, get rid of piano black and integrate the gadgets.

I love it. My one complaint is the lack of physical controls, especially on the steering wheel. Also, it would be good to customise those a bit, for example, being able to skip songs from steering wheel.

Maybe I'm just old and uncool but the pre-facelift W212 in my eyes was the best looking E-Class so far, these new ones look a little over styled and flashy in my opinion. I'm sure this new one is great though, not within my budget until it's a few years old though! Edit - Exclusive line in that dark color looks really good.

I like the older dashboard more. It was just beautiful. The air vents were super and the lines were just so perfect.

For the first time in a few models. This e class is clearly a better buy than the 5 series. Or A5.

I know Mercedes has to step up with tech but never overdo it, especially with screens and "digital vents"... What a nightmare this car will be to maintain after a few years

6:55 - the sunroof controls are a perfect example of something that didn't need to be capacitive and should have remained a physical toggle.

The E-Class W212 used to have night vision and rear seat entertainment when it came out. I guess not many customers ordered to have those options so they cut it.

It's just another example of where the automotive industry goes. And it's a wrong direction: touchscreens which are dangerous to use when driving, touch buttons dangerous from the same reasons, games onbaord, warning sounds when you exceed speed by 1 km/h. Did you see the way the folded rear seats create the "flat" area with the boot? Horrible finish! :(
Why the long press of the button on the steering wheel does not include switching off the lane assistant? Why? Sucha missed opportunity!

Thank you for demonstrating the BS slider function for the sunroof. In my almost 35 year old 190E I can find and operate the sunroof button without even looking where it is. Oh, it always works the first time I press it. And thanks for criticising the non haptive feedback of the cheap ass seat adjusting buttons. I hope the responsible Mercedes interior designer is watching this video also. There's a lot to learn for him/her.
