Editing YouTube videos, I want to have an efficient editing workflow. In this video, I'll show you the process that is based on 4 keyboard shortcuts.
5️⃣ steps:
1. Create the sequence with all the talking footage synchronized.
2. Create your custom shortcuts (you only need to do it once).
3. Use these shortcuts.
4. Duplicate the sequence to stay organized.
5. Ripple delete the clips until you're left with your first rough cut.

Piotr, changing the "add edit point" and "ripple delete" keyboard shortcuts in Premier Pro is helping me save a lot of time when editing interviews and my YouTube videos. Great pro tip. Thank you. I'm taking a break from editing right now to let you know. :-)

useful tipps for faster editing - nice. I am using a lot of sound sources for licensed soundfiles which do not break the bank like Audiojungle, Art List or audioblock but if you work with sound, I would really like to get tipps for new sources and especially for effects - like Kyler or some youtubers use for wooshes and moving sounds. Thanks so much for your nice work

04:21 priceless footage. Most video makes one mention of how easy of a cut it is, and then move on. I'm thinking of this start:

Talking to a screen and mic and recording a video is easy.

But you’ll edit till your fingers bleed making it watchable.

Or will you?

One long linear file is super smart ....even if it's just master audio

Beside those shortcuts, I think re-structure the content of the interviewee is like a knowledge, since people may not talking fluently for video friendly, sometimes I have to re-structure his/her sentences, Not affect the message but make it comfort to watch (read), and that's the edit.

In my old days with FCP7, the I/O delete combo was more bloody fast....
