Bending Water with Static Electricity

Electrons are transferred from my hair to the balloon. The faucet water consists of many polar water molecules, and the positively charged end of the water molecules (hydrogen atoms) are attracted to the now negatively charged balloon. The faucet water is therefore pulled toward the balloon.
