Even as a lesbian, I really got a bad gaydar. I can't tell someone's sexuality just by looking at them. Most of the time, I know someone's sexuality because I talked with them and become friends but even so I am not interested in most lesbians unless they are my type of woman with my criteria.

Hmmm, I feel simultaneously like this totally might be a thing, but at the same time, feel like there is a huge chance there is just some subtle bias here in some way. Like, there's a lot of behavioral things that can affect face pics even if you remove makeup and hair and the like, and it's just really hard to control for that. But hey, I haven't read the research, so idk lol.
