Are they stuck? Stranded? Will SpaceX have to rescue Butch and Suni?
These questions are flooding my feed.
Butch and Suni recently spoke about their confidence in Starliner as a way to get home.

I am retiring from Boeing in February after 34 years. The management by Finance people has led to our current state. 20 years of cost cutting, a de-focus on leadership and engineering excellence has led to this. I had 2 phone calls with Leanne Caret before she “retired” (she was fired for not producing enough profit). I said as much to her and she was not happy. Boeing Commercial (BCA) doesn’t have any new airliners in the pipeline, our combat aircraft division has not had a major win in 40 years (T-7 was good but a derivative of SAAB), our NASA division in Houston is like visiting the ghost of aerospace programs past. The fire in the belly for new technology and for our customers is gone. I said to Leanne, “Who’s our Elon?” Crickets. Now, our chickens have come home to roost. BTW, our satellite division in El Segundo is still world class. Enjoy your military communications, weather updates, XM radio and satellite navigation.

0:45 — That door blowing off while the capsule was being towed to the launch pad 💀
edit: Footage was from 2022 and was just a protective cover that is removed before launch. Still doesn’t inspire confidence if the thing protecting anything falls off!

It's like when your crazy aunt and uncle come to visit for a couple of days, but their old car breaks down and they can't get parts so they stay for an extra month or two

Let's not forget that Boeing was completely confident about the 737-Max, as well as the plane that blew out its door. Even if they make it back alive, Boeing needs to be held accountable for its ongoing engineering and quality failures in the Flatliner project.

This gives me an Idea for a remake of Gilligan's Island.

It’s simple. Bring Starliner back autonomously to see if it makes it safely then great. But bring the crew back on Dragon. There is nothing to be gained by bringing Starliner back with crew. Be safe.

The testing should have been completed by now.
I think there are other system problems that are being covered up.

Thanks for an excellent report THAT IS TRUSTWORTHY! on this topic. THANKS!!! Have been wondering...Superb work on your part and it is greatly appreciated!
It's good to see the crew...clearly enjoying the unexpected extension to their stay in space.

Nothing new for 35 days now. All we got from the media teleconference was "MORE DATA." No progression to a resolution or root cause of failures of helium leaks or thruster faulures.

The job requires them to believe in the ship.

Some day, Ellie, you can ask the questions and do an on-orbit interview!

What else can they say? Astronaut 101 is to not criticize NASA, the government or any prime contractor. Only optimism can be displayed. They are truly a special personality type, no question.

Let's hope the StarLemon doesn't become a Starcophagus.

Love the door plug falling off at 0:47. A Boeing tradition!

I doubt the crew really trusts Starliner. But they will ride it down anyway and probably make it. I hope.

Imagine SpaceX picks em up: "Hey guys, hop on in!" Suni: "I smell smoke!" SX: "Oh, we're bbqing ribs. You can chill out in the hot tub and hit up the wet bar while we swing by the russian station to pick up some vodka." Butch: " Is that a fur lined toilet seat?" SX: "Yep. We swiped it off of Bezos' yacht. He'll prob sue us. Lol. Want some of this pizza?"
