Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are back, but this time they face a mysterious new force known as Shadow. Will they have to team up with Dr. Robotnik to try and stop Shadow? As a Sonic fan (sorry, going to be a nerd here) Mobius was the name in the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon with the Freedom Fighters and the Sonic Archie Comics. The game universe I don't believe has ever been called Mobius, and no connections have been made outside a weird Easter egg from a Sonic Spinball bonus stage where Sonic saves them (I think this was later labelled non-canon).

As far as the two-world theory (the theory that Sonic and his friends are either in a world like Earth with humans or "their own world") that has recently been debunked, so every game has now occurred on the same planet despite the fact that yes, it's weird that games like Sonic Forces has literally no mention of G.U.N.

TL;DR Mobius is a separate Canon to the games (at least right now) and there's always been one world as recently confirmed despite confusing interviews with developers in the past!

Anyway great video! Can't wait for Sonic 3! Hoping that Space Colony Ark will be at least mentioned in the movie!
