Just as a note: The only way to actually reduce main armor is through reducing agility e.g. Whirling Death. Natural Order doesn't actually reduce it - instead it applies negative bonus armor ( ala AC and Deso ) based on the enemy's main armor.

These are similar mechanics to % damage increases and decreases - while they don't affect bonus damage at all, they're still types of bonus damage based on the target's main damage, which itself can only be altered by altering the hero's primary attribute and abilities that specifically change it - which are Metamorphosis, Death Pact, and Grow, notably only increases.

Also, if the implication wasn't enough, this means that the main armor and main damage ( really, just base armor and base damage ) for non-heroes is entirely static, since they don't have attributes and there are no abilities that can a non-hero's base damage, at least until you get into custom game modes.

Your maths needs a bit of work. Reducing EHP by 120% would instantly kill them. The calculation goes like this:

20 armour gives 120% more EHP; therefore total EHP is 220% of original amount. Using your example, this translates to 2000HP -> 4400EHP.

The backwards calculation (going from 4400 to 2000) is 2000/4400 = 1/2.2 = 45.45%. Going from 20 armour to 0 armour is a 54.55% decrease in EHP.

It's a bit funny, I have about 10 hours on dota, because I'm a league fan with over 3000 hours. But I subbed to Baumi years ago, and watch every video of his. I love hard information and just this one video alone is making want to pick up dota. Keep these up, I love it!

Really good video Baumi ! The form is great and the content interesting. Do more of them please (return damage (already done but it never hurt), cleave, stats (the effect on life, damage, mana ...), magic resistance).

yep pretty much knew about the types, its a thing that was carried over from Dota 1, where Warcraft 3 units had specific attack and armor types if i remember the following was such:
Piercing - does extra damage to Unarmored and Light and reduced damage to Fortified(Fortified armor reduces all attack types except Chaos and takes extra damage from Siege) and Hero(Hero armor reduces all attack types except Chaos) and Medium
Normal - does extra damage to Medium Armor and reduced damage to Fortified and Hero
Magic - does extra damage to Light, Unarmored and Heavy and reduced damage to Hero and Fortified, allows attacks on Ethereal units(also does bonus damage) but cannot attack Magic Immune units
Hero - does full damage to all armor types except Fortified
Chaos - does full damage regardless of armor type(even fortified)
Siege - does extra damage to Fortified and Unarmored, but reduced damage to Medium and Hero
There are also spells, they do full damage to all armor types except Hero

What most likely seems to happen with Elder Titan is that the algorithm making it function is calculating how much armor to reduce by using a negative multiplier times the base armor being reduced, which since the base number is negative, makes the aura give a positive result.

Theres a mistake at 8:51. If you reduce the EHP by 120% the enemy would already be dead. I think you meant 60%.
