For chest and pants best 3/4 is:

Damage reduction from close
Damage reduction from distant
Max life

Then 4th roll is total armor%

* Total armor% is easier to roll for at the enchanter.
* Total armor % is available on more pieces, specifically the helmet and the aspect, compared to all damage reduction is only on chest, pants, amulet, and shield.
* All damage reduction has lower rolls, and you might be able to get up to 50%, but the total DR is much lower than available from armor or DR from distant+close.
* Damage reduction from close/distant rolls much higher than all damage reduction rolls, maybe about double.
* From just chest and pants, one can roll about 55~60% DR each, from distant and close.
* With a shield and amulet, one should be able to reach 80s maybe even 90 on your character sheet for both.

DR calculation:
25->50% DR: 33% less damage taken... not that much benefit despite adding 25% DR on your sheet.
50->75% DR: 50% less damage taken.
80->90% DR: 50% less damage taken.
* Even though you only added 10% on your sheet, the last 20% you were taken was cut in half.
90->95%: 50% less damage taken

Formula is 1 - 1 / ((1-old DR) / (1 - new DR)), e.g.
1 - 1 / ((1 - 0.25) / (1-0.5)) = 0.333 or 33.333% less damage

The title implies you were going to explain what is better between total armor and damage reduction affixes. Can you make a video about that? For example, What is a better affix, 10% damage reduction or +10% total armor? Which one will actually decrease damage received more?
