The best way to prevent infection and spread of germs, including the coronavirus, is by practizing good hand hygiene, and regularly washing your hands with soap and water. Washing your hands improperly means they probably aren't fully clean so learn how to wash your hands properly to prevent the spread of germs.

The first, and most important question is: did you wash your hands with soap? A water-only rinse off isn't enough to keep your hands really clean, so make sure you pick up the soap while you're at the sink and wash for at least 20 seconds. If you have a hard time keeping track, you can hum through Happy Birthday twice to make sure you've been washing long enough. Make sure you get the soap all over. Don't miss your wrists, in between your fingers, or under your fingernails.

And when we had training for viruses 🦠
We were told if you wash your hands for 20 seconds the germs still thrive
You should wash your hands 2 minutes . With soap water 🚿
Also I remember my grandmother that was in world war 1 she use to tell me stories
Of germs and viruses 🦠 that were around
It was horrific even she use to say

For all with worries about the running water. This is how nurses have always been taught. The tap is considered dirty so turn it on with your dirty hands. Prior to this make sure you have a paper towel at the ready. Lather up with soap and running warm water. Dry on the paper towel. Turn off the tap with the paper towel, open the restroom door with the paper towel. Then discard. In hospitals, faucets are motion or foot pedal activated so the running water can be shut off.

This video is mercifully for the benefit of those who never made it past 6 years old, cognitively. Those who need someone in an authority position to remind them to wash their hands after they wipe their poopy butt or go pee-pee and many whose parents never taught them basic personal hygeine. (Sorry all you 6 year olds, at least you DO have an excuse.!

P.S. These folks are the ones who choose not to obey the basic traffic laws which require each driver to come to a COMPLETE stop at the STOP sign- it even tells you what to do, in huge letters, viz, STOP! A toughie for many to perform, yes, but it's in every Drivers' Handbook.

They always forget the fingernails. You should keep them cut as short as possible because a lot of germs and embed themselves under the nails and simple washing of the hands does not get the germs out.
