What is On Premises Data Gateway and types.
The on-premises data gateway acts as a bridge, enabling quick and secure data transfer between on-premises data (data not in the cloud) and several Microsoft cloud services. These services include Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Azure Analysis Services, and Azure Logic Apps1. Organizations can keep databases and other data sources on their local networks while securely using that data in cloud services. There are two types of gateways:

On-premises data gateway: Allows multiple users to connect to multiple on-premises data sources. It’s suitable for complex scenarios with multiple users accessing various data sources.
On-premises data gateway (personal mode): Designed for individual use, allowing one user to connect to sources. It’s ideal for scenarios where you’re the sole report creator and don’t need to share data sources1.
