As a teen, my issue was not so much gaming addiction, it was watching too many video essays, reviews, live streams, etc. This ended up taking more time than actually playing. I wish I could finish more games, but they just became a gateway to passive consumption. I realized that I didn't have many people in my life to talk about the games I played, which motivated me to build a better social life.

One of the important reasons for playing video games is Void

There is a problem in which parents fall,

which is that they leave their children for emptiness
Specifically in adolescence and do not involve them in activities outside the home

As well as not caring about developing their talents
& the lack of a positive dialogue between parents and children

Greatly helps the child to fall into the network of video games

Thanks for including work of Andrew Huberman. I wish he'd do an episode on gaming.

this is an extract and editing to fit a narrative, the complete podcast episode of Dr. Huberman is called "How to Increase Motivation & Drive", I encourage everyone to listen to the entire episode and then conclude stuff, and of course, if videogames are a problem for you please look for professional help.

A vida real ficou chata. Socializar ficou chato. Todo tempo que me sobrava que queria jogar..Vendi o vídeo game1 semana depois novamente.

I don't play video games but recently I was thinking about playing a couple PS1 games. Seems like playing with fire though. Don't want it to mess up my work ethic.

It's amazing how much it's changes ones brain and their personality. My son is a victim of this garbage and it has changed him into someone I don't recognize anymore.

what if that tasks that you have at hand are not interesting at all but you have to do them in order to progress with your career?

right now I have to write a thesis to finish my degree. I have no interest in writing it and it is not getting better by not playing video games or doing something non-dopaminergic. There is no balancing here. I just have to pull through with it.

Cam so after quitting gaming isn't life seems boring? If not then how do you get same amount of fulfillment and pleasure, happiness in day to day life, after all we can not always be motivated to do hardwork.

Please do take your time to respond, have great day ahead😊

By the way, there is one more important that i've learned from the gaming community, everyone in that community is just a hypocrite.

Im going to quit this month. No games at all for a month as well as excessive ohone use. Going to write a dairy on how i feel each day.

Is it possible to play games once a week without getting dopamine depressed after i level out? But understand this could lead to a slippery slope.
