These guys literally took George Orwell's works as a guidebook rather than warning.

I wish we also had democracy with Indian characteristics instead of British characteristics.

Deng Xiopeng did exactly opposite of what Soviet Union did. That made China great, Xi is continuing that only at a faster pace.

"Dictators use history as a way of controlling popular opinion"
Why does it sound so familiar?

Yes we can have fun of the politics of China, the CCP's great rhetorics and Xi's strongmanship but the truth is that deep somewhere in our hearts we are jealous of China and it's growth.

Some interesting parallels between USSR's Brezhnev and Xi.
He too consolidated many party positions. Got himself appointed Marshal of the Soviet Union, the only one to do so after Stalin. Like Xi's China, under Brezhnev, the soviet military rapidly expanded, and their nuclear weapons and space programs were on par or better than the Americans'. Soviet economic growth peaked under Brezhnev, but started slowing down soon after leading to economic stagnation. Too soon to say, but Xi's China appears to be heading on a similar trajectory. Fear of growing Afghan US ties under Hafizullah Amin, and the possibility it would break away from the Soviet orbit led to the Afghan invasion in 79', which the Soviets believed would be a short campaign. Is Taiwan going to be China's Afghanistan? Probably not. But, the next 10-15 years will certainly be eventful.

Secretive China always seems to evoke interest within us Indians .
Quite an interesting coverage must admit .
Mao ze Dongs quote “ let a thousand flowers bloom “ seems apt more with the CCP in todays China 🇨🇳.

Two thousand years ago, the Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu's "The Art of War " said,“To know the enemy and know yourself, and you can fight a hundred battles with no danger of
defeat.” I believe that the Indians never understood the meaning; they did not understand it in 1962, nor do they understand it today.
Since Xi Jinping came to power in 2012, China’s GDP has doubled, China has been lifted out of poverty, and the per capita GDP has exceeded 10, 000 US dollars.Xi Jinping established the
"East China Sea Air Defense Identification Zone" in 2013. At the same time, he spent three years in the South China Sea to reclaim and build seven islands. Therefore, China has completely completed its strategic layout from the East China Sea to the South China Sea, making the United States and Japan feel unprecedented pressure. .Economically, Xi Jinping has led China to
lead the establishment of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the Belt and Road Initiative, and has already led the construction of Asia-Pacific and global infrastructure in practical
actions. In dealing with the Sino-U.S. trade war, Xi Jinping confronted the United States tit-for-tat, adhered to principles and positions, and made no concessions to the unreasonable demands
of the United States. Three years have passed. The inflationary pressure of the United States has forced the United States to make concessions to China on trade and tariffs. Xi Jinping is not satisfied. He has issued two error correction lists for the United States. At the same time, China continues to dumping of U.S. Treasuries has increased inflationary pressures in the United States. This is why Biden has requested several times to meet and talk with Xi Jinping. Not only that, as China enters RCEP and applies for CPTPP and DEPA, China will further deepen economic globalization. In China, Xi Jinping has stepped up anti-corruption efforts, rectified corruption, military reforms, and has no upper limit on high-tech investment. A series of actions
by Xi Jinping during his nine years in power have been deeply supported by the Chinese people.
On the contrary, Indians might as well think about what the Modi government has done? Whether it's the vigorous "abandonment order", made in India, or withdrawing from RCEP. . . A feature of Modi's reform path is "gambling", in addition to hype about Indian nationalism and slogans.

I would think that X's status is above Deng in the eyes of the Chinese. China never had another leader after Mao who had such overwhelming support from the Chinese people and definitely, Deng don't have that kind of popularity as the Chinese blame Deng for the nepotism and massive corruption that China had experience after Deng stepped down. Xi gain massive popularity by hitting hard on corruption and eradicating poverty in China.

The last time China made history under an egomaniac, what did not make it to its history textbooks was the "Great Leap Forward". Fingers crossed this time.

Different strokes for different folks.
China with its large population, limited natural resources and limited land area had to find a solution to feed and house its people and keep them happy.
The word "dictator" implies ruthless tactics used to keep in power and this is not the case for Xi JP.
Xi JP can be removed by the CCP if he do not performed.
The difference in China is that there is only one political party from which a suitable ruler is chosen compare to India where hundreds (?) of opportunistic parties try their luck in seeking power by making promises that will not be kept.
The current result shows that the Chinese system (just do it!) is better than the Indian system (just talk and talk!).

You guys still do not understand the meaning and importance of the resolution, even though full texts are in the public domain. But there are some facts about the previous two resolutions. After the 1945 resolution, it only took 3 years for CCP to win the civil war, even though they have much fewer troops and inferior weapons. And China economy’s 40-year high speed growth came after the 1981 resolution.
