Which Building Is Taller?

This seems like a simple question, take two skyscrapers, like the petronas towers in Malaysia or the Sears Tower (Willis Tower) in Chicago and tell me which one is taller? But this questions has been dividing people for decades. #shorts #architecture

As a completely unbiased European that never heard of any of these towers until now, Sears is taller.

Sears is obviously taller. Otherwise buildings could just add ridiculously long spires on top to be taller. It should be the top of the main structure.

As a Malaysian, yes the Sears is taller. Though the arguments never end.

This is why they have 3 categories when measuring the height of tall buildings.
1. Tallest by architectural height (the most important measurement)
2. Tallest by highest occupied floor
3. Tallest to tip
So it isn't just simply as how high the building goes
