Why Europe is Better Than the USA (American's Perspective)

In this video, I explain why I consider Europe to be a much more livable place than the USA in terms of practically every metric pertaining to quality of life. It goes without saying that neither Europe nor the USA are monoliths, and neither should be treated as such. But given my relatively limited sample size, I make use of reasonable generalizations to drive home my point: Europe provides a higher quality of life than the USA in 2023 (and likely beyond).

Lives in the US 33 years, moved to Italy 8 years ago. You could not pay me any amount of money to go back to the USA. It’s really just a 3rd world country with a gucci belt. Quality of life is just soooo much better in Europe.

I moved from CA to Spain a couple of years ago. I lived in the Bay Area, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle. Spain is what everyone wishes the west coast was. The health care is amazing. Little crime, much higher quality of life. Great video!

- Better business enviroment
- More diversity

Through the quality of life varies a lot among European countries and USA states. I personally really like living in Northern Europe, but I think both the US and Europe have their own advantages. What matters is that you're happy. The grass isn't always greener on the other side.

The differences we notice are things like : Health care is free, cheap medication, interaction between all age groups, inclusion of disabled people, programs and activities for children, festivals, tolerance for the most part of opposing viewpoints and politics, more than 2 political parties, protesting is a normal thing, artist / musicians are

Most americans that travel feel the same way, it's quite a shock after being told that the US is the best place to live and discovering the opposite compared to other developed countries. It seems to have travelled its own path .

Jordan, I enjoyed your video so very much and agree, 100% with everything you said. I’m an old white lady Chicago native and have spent time in Italy. Europe is a socialist democracy and it works so well people respect each other more than they do here. no guns Little crime it’s much easier to live there the food everywhere, and good fresh food! Not process junk! And because people walk and bicycle everywhere, they are healthier physically, but they talk to each other more and form a closer community. And then not to mention the horrible politics going on in the USA! German here, my USA vacations were great (nature, landscapes, cities like SFO or NYC, very friendly people) but the inequalities and crime were just shocking.

I appreciate the USA for many things, but I don't understand the American mentality. Rat race, pursuit of money and success, unhealthy competition, ruthlessness towards the weaker. Sometimes there is no time to contemplate life.

I left the states in 1992 and moved to Spain. BEST decision ever. It was a wonderful European reincarnation. No regrets just sighs of relief that I do not live in that titanic of a country that is slowly sinking with a whole lot of fat and not so fat people stuck on stupid. There is no better way to judge where you are from than to leave it and see it from the outside. Don't miss it at all. When I do visit my family in the states I like to go see historic monuments like Walmart, Target hop on a battery powered ride on or eat at one of these trough style full of morbid obese people like Golden Corral. In Europe all we have is culture, class and a whole lot of history with some really cool monuments thrown in and of course no guns in the hands of private citizens. Boring.

I think the main difference is that in USA everything is build for business even the most important things, and in Europe most of important things are made for live. Europe had the influence of socialism and the capitalism is not so aggresive like in the USA.

As an American, I gotta say, I am so over it here. I hate that I have to worry about me and my families safety 24/7. People are stress and unhinged, there is rampant crime all across the country, and the cost of living is so out of wack that you cant escape thinking about it every waking moment.
