Every time Happy and Sad ENA's voices were switched (Temptation Stairway)

Soo yeah Temptation Stairway SPOILERS!

I just loved the change they did with the voices, first time caught me off guard haha

*2023 EDIT; For some reason I keep getting the same comment of not understanding what happens in this video over and over again, I’m guessing that comes from newcomers, so here you have it; If you see the first 2 videos (Auction Day, Extinction Party) ENA’s voice followed a pattern. Yellow (happy) side had a male voice, Blue (sad) side had a female voice. In the third video, Temptation Stairway, that “rule” was broken and there were occasions where their respective voices got switched within the sides. This video is a compilation of those occasions* I also might consider turning off the comments cause i can’t take the same joke repeated over and over, lack of creativity here smh.

ENA is it called friend. It's a serie of videos in youtube made by Joel G. Is abstraction at its finest, your reaction will be "what the fuck did i just saw and why i want more?"

I have a theory that the swapped voices sort of represent secondary emotions.

Masculine voice with sad side = anxiety
Feminine voice with happy side = confidence

the reason why she sounds nervous even though the happy side is speaking is because both sides of her don't like being out in the public (and that, according to her, she's "allergic to people")
which is probably why she vomits and has a mental breakdown when the runas race starts (because many "people" are there)

something i noticed that’s interesting is how when speaking cheerfully, ena’s “sad” voice completely drops the babyish affectation she usually has in favor of speaking clearly. on the reverse, her “happy” voice doesn’t start speaking with it when being used by the sad side, instead she still speaks clearly too—if she did pick it up, “you’re all living a lie” should be “youwe aww wiving a wie”.

my Occam’s razor explanation would be that having the affectation would have hindered the delivery they wanted on the lines; “sad” ena using the babyish voice may have distracted from the kind tone she put on, and, more obviously, hearing “happy” ena scream out with that affectation would have made it completely ridiculous sounding, even for a series that doesn’t seem to care about about being taken seriously.

it does help point out the fact that when using the “happy” voice for her sad side, ena doesn’t actually sound sad, she sounds enraged. i wonder why that is—the “sad” voice being used for the happy side doesn’t seem to deviate from just broadly being happy

Just a lil' theory: Maybe Ena's voices we're switched because of a drastic change in "Extinction Party." Remember when the space man said that she should go with him since terrible things could happen? Maybe he was talking about a drastic change of the character who dare to go the sky (Moony's home I guess?) Nothing happened to Ena, really. But she did get drunk. Maybe when she was drunk, her sad and happy voices we're confused on which face to talk on, and her faces we're confused on which voice was talking. Sooo, the "DaNgErS" the space man was talking about was that Ena could've gone through a TERRIBLE change. Who knows? Only Joel G does.
