i just want to state that not everyone is dependent on there phone like that. when i am talking to someone and my phone goes off i ignore it or mute it and continue my conversation. But i also have the common courtesy to put my phone on airplane mode or turn it off when i am driving or in class. My thought process is that it will be there when i get to it. i am not at its beck and call. Everyone should understand that driving, walking, class and just being around people should be more important because your phone will hold all the information but you will miss alot of stuff if you just go straight to it. i realize this video is not saying everyone is like that. have a good day

This is just me (my friends explicitly tell me that it is) but I have a tendency to just leave the phone where it is when it buzzes, because it means someone needs something from me, which means working. I usually respond within like 3 days if I have some free time but there is no way that this video is true for everyone.

I agree with the summary/results, but the data is incomplete - your pleasure center activates if you have a nice life and people who love you, or a communicative significant other.
But if you're broke and are falling behind on your student loans or credit cards and are avoiding calling your mom cause you know she'l guilt you about something, it's not the pleasure center activating; it's the fight-or-flight response.
