What are your thoughts on XAW? Higher MER (0.22%) But is a global (minus Canadian holdings) ETF. ~ 63% U.S holdingsand the rest is spread out throughout the world. trades in CAD too. Wondering if those advantages can make up for the higher fees. I ditched anything above ~ 0.50% MER years ago. Can't see anything past that performing better than a low fee set it and forget it.

Interest rates... yep ❤ *Rates stepping up or high* - BDCs benefit (e.g. BDC income etf: BIZD) as well as the financial sector. *Rates getting cut or low* - REITs, MLPs, and a lot of 'traditional' sectors (resp. companies with a 'traditional' biz model) benefit. There are 2 exceptions: tech/comms (with a data-driven biz model, including semi and ai) and preferred stocks 😊
