Mike is so good at sort of leading these group reviews. Maybe everyone is, but I like how clear it is that he wants to welcome people to share. Very wholesome.

A quick rule mistake that I want to point out at 7:22 is that when you pledge smuggled goods you do it based on the card faction (top left of the card) not the delivery faction. Great review!!

"I have no one to blame but myself for this"
That cracked me up!

Thanks for great review! Getting reviews out quick are great so people can get an idea before they buy. Appreciate your hard work.

Does the smuggler at scoring at the end on pledges gain the fame of the regions?
As in they pledged on a sharks winning the skull regions, and it’s worth 4 fame.
Do they get 1 or 4 fame from it?

Loving Wendy on the team offering such a different perspective and not just following suit with ratings. Keep up the good work!

Everyone doing different things but interacting on the same board. I love it

Really excited about expansions for this one! A heavy pirate faction is a no brainer that messes with everyone, or can easily steal gold and once they have 20 gold they win. Kind of a race against the clock with pirates

Leder Games makes games for "players who play the game more than once". A lot of the complaints are not as bad as they seem with this in mind.

The two smugglers really throws me off. It's like it was a really long hard day and they said; "Just throw in another smuggler. Can't be bothered coming up with another faction." This game screams "expansions" to me. Where's the sea lion faction? The walrus faction? (Koo koo ka ju.) The sea otter faction? How about dauphin and/or porous factions? Where's the killer whale faction? (OK, so yes, I am predigest towards mammals.) And why do so many of these "pirate" games have nothing more than sea and islands? What? Is this Le Guin's Earthsea world? Give me some coast line and some terra firma. And give me some open ocean. Otherwise, an interesting game.

I really liked the scoring speech of Chris.

Haha poor Wendy. I suspect she is long suffering living with super nerd, Chris. If anyone at the Dicetower was going to use the greeting, Ahoy! in mimicry of Alexander Graham Bell, then I would expect it would be him.

Being the person that was the 4th in their game, I completely agree with Wendy's rating. I might hit 7, but 6.5 is probably better. Wendy and I had factions that were exactly the same. It would have been nice if each smuggler faction was slightly different.

Wendy: So like Root it only really works at 4.
Mike: Nice musical reference in your closing.

Does this NEED 2 or 4 players to play? And, if less than 4, do you need to play similar factions?

Is incredible how deep is the Risk's scars about the area control.
Chris is right, is difficult review games.
