The changing of needs is so confusing sometimes. One day I need the weighted blanket and would like even two of them on top of each other and the other day I can't stand the pressure and need the lightest blanket that I can find 😅

When I shop online for clothes and the item arrives in the exact material that I mentally envisioned, the right thickness, amount of stretch, texture etc I can't explain how happy it makes me.😅

I am a senior citizen with Autism and AHDH and have BOTH of these...I have had broken bones for WEEKS and not known, and on the other hand, a scratchy T shirt can be excruciating! Same with LOUD noises or being crammed with a lot of people in an area. And It can vary from day to day, IMMENSELY...Somedays I need sunglasses on even cloudy days, on other days I can go outside without ANY dark lenses. Some days my nervous system is so "spiky" and other days its 'dead'.

Thanks, Ella!
I had thought I was weird since I seem to be both. Now I know it's possible. 💜

All my life, i had no idea i was/am autistic. When i was working a 9-5, i would get home and get the "wa-wa's" from the inundation of noise all day. Its like everything was on a loud speaker directly into my mind. I can't even have the a/c on at these times, because the noise and moving air is so overwhelming.

I definitely relate to that! I am currently trying to get diagnosed with Autism and ADHD but I definitely become suoer hypo and hyper sensitive!

I am both. I seek certain sensory experiences all day while tryin to avoid others. Things i seek : good smells like leafs & essential oils, fun body movements like swinging & dancing, so much music, touchin things like tree bark, flowers, looking & feeling colors & art. Things i try to avoid : perfumes/colognes, crowds of people, any place loud or busy, energy that doesnt feel good (certain news, people, places, things...)

& yeah, it changes often. I'll need to go full sensory nothing one day & then engage all the senses the next.

My sensory issues are hard to handle on a regular basis. Im so happy my roommate is understanding, even to a point where he said it was weird to sleep in socks and when i said i wear them to bed he said well yeah but you have sensory issues especially with things touching your feet. Made me feel so seen

I was confused at first, until you said that these needs can be different for different things and also can change by the day. Phew! Yes. Sometimes I'm hyper, but usually I'm hypo and it changes~ Always a puzzle!

Mouth pain! Some electric toothbrushes make me cry. Can't get my teeth cleaned at the dentist without tranquilizers, nitrous oxide gas, and sometimes injections, even though that seems counterintuitive. Teeth cleaning is just too painful.

Omg, yes, thank you so much, PurpleElla!!!! Love your helpful videos and your wonderful vibes. Sensory seeking - you taught me a nee autism thing! I'm nearly one month into discovering I'm AuDHD (already knew about the ADHD but I'm still learning every day how deep it goes). Thank you again. This is awesome work that you're doing. 💜🙏🏼🪷
