About Brian Barczyk:

Brian Barczyk was a passionate wildlife enthusiast and vlogger who dedicated his life to sharing his extraordinary journey with animals on YouTube since May 10, 2016. His remarkable adventures led him to be part of TV network series, produce “Brian In The Wild” a documentary in South Africa, travel globally to encounter incredible animals and their advocates, initiate “Checking In” a podcast, establish “AnimalConUSA” a convention for animal content creators and their fans, and create The Reptarium - an interactive reptile zoo in Utica, Michigan, among many many other achievements.

In March 2023, Brian faced the greatest challenge of his life with a diagnosis of inoperable Pancreatic Cancer. His strength, courage, and the unyielding support of the incredible #ReptileArmy community inspired him to continue sharing his story and pursuing his dreams, even in the toughest times.

Brian's vision for the LegaSea Aquarium & The Reptarium, a symbol of resilience and the power of dreams, is now a legacy that his crew and family are devoted to bringing to life in his honor. As we break ground on this expanded facility just across the street from The Reptarium, we embrace this mission as a testament to Brian's indomitable spirit.

I am nearly positive I am going to just cry my eyes out going through this place for the first time. I really feels like I am right there building it with ya'll! People are going to think I know you by the way I point out and search for all the little details and hard work everyone has put in. Good morning! I enjoy seeing EVERYONE in the blogs. The group of people building the LegaSea, including Lori's team (YES, i miss Brian. Its kind of hard hearing his voice at the end ofveach blog) BUT the awesome TEAM he built is now led by Lori. And i really like how she gets more than one persons ideas about differentbthings. As for you, Jay (not Tingle) being in the vlogs, i think that, too, is a fitting tribute to Brian. If i remember right, didnt Brian do his own videoing BEFORE you came on?

WOW! One of the last pieces to the reptile zoo over apt Legasea. Lori is going to love Natilda's enclosure. I remembered the vlog where Brian and Lori picked up Matilda. Lori fell in love with that tortoise instantly.

I am so psyched about the Legasea opening. Unfortunately I don’t live in the US so I won’t be visiting. What would be great is a feature length walkthrough throughout the entire Legasea for those who can’t visit.
