I walked in rain starting around 7 PM in the evening at the Empire State building ending it in Greenwich Village. Without frantic taxi drivers taking over the streets and fewer fire trucks, you will surely enjoy walking the deserted streets of New York City in the evening. Make sure to eat well before taking the long walk as you might not be able to find food at all.
