Who Are Tarzan’s Parents? | Messed Up Origins Explained: Discovering Disney

Over the years, I have seen so much speculation, theorizing, and questions surrounding the identity of Tarzan’s parents, and that’s why today I am going to explain who they truly were, here they were traveling to, and how the legend of their death has changed. To begin to understand who this man and woman were, we first need to look back at Tarzan’s earliest adventures that were originally written by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Specifically we must go back to the beginning of this twenty four novel saga which was titled Tarzan of the Apes. And it is here we learn almost everything we know about Tarzan’s parents who were revealed to be named John and Alice Clayton also known as Lord and Lady Greystoke of England.

I was so scared this was just going to be about that ridiculous Frozen/Tarzan theory. I'm glad we got some actual info about the parents based on the books. Their lives ended so tragically. It's sad that they didn't get the chance to raise their own son.

Woah I've heard of the frozen tarzan parent theory but I had no idea about who Tarzan's family were, not only was he apparently from a rich family but he's also Clayton's cousin - WhAt?! 😂 This Tarzan history is amazing!!

From the beginning I always imagined Tarzan's parents both had a background in construction because of the way they managed to build that treehouse bungalow in no time at all even though such an undertaking would have taken an entire crew of professional builders in a manner of at least a week.

I’m so glad Frozen 2 debunked the theory about Tarzan being Anna and Elsa’s brother. It made absolutely NO sense right from the get-go! Plus, Frozen 2 also shows that Agnar and Iduna’s ship was NOT the shipwreck Ariel and Flounder explored, and they weren’t going to the Kingdom of Corona for Rapunzel and Eugene’s wedding. However, it could still be possible that Rapunzel is Anna and Elsa’s cousin.
